LOL - I must admit that having been a long time subscriber of the HD650 page I was surprised by the very different "feel" on this page. Is it a Beyer owners thing? 

PS that was a light-hearted observation, not a quip or jab at anyone so please don't take offense as there is absolutely none intended and I enjoyed reading this whole thread as I pondered buying the T90s

to answer your question, yes they def will soften up a little with burn in i have about a hundred hours on mine now , coming from grados they didnt sound harsh to me at all but yes they did soften. No piercing highs

I talked to the beyerdynamic people in Germany and the T90 has not been discontinued at all. In fact they have even increased production.
If some shops in the US no longer offer the T90 it's because they were selling them under the price level and have been "refused". According to Beyer, that all is.

Prices finally dropping. Made an offer of $440, I'll see what I can get. Their ebay/yelp reviews seem to be pretty good.

Spoke to Addicted to Audio today and contacted another dealer here in Aust, the $575 is a distributor promotion and won't last long, I'm also strapped for cash, as I have a $4k rates bill that is due shortly... So I'm tossing whether to get it????

Don't think you could match that when you consider the sliding Aussie dollar and then the cost of delivery? Especially if its coming from the US or elsewhere.....

the rates have landed, looks like Im done!  The total for 2 properties are $4149.30, welcome to the land of down under and enjoy the rates as a property owner!  Why is it always when a good deal comes along for the T90 I am always strapped for cash!!!!

Looks like Im going to miss out, however your desktop is optional compared to my rates that are compulsary!
