And they pretty much kill 990 except in bass quantity.

my right side seem to be alittle softer or less textured in the music . when i turn up the volume from my amp , the left side seem to be heard before the right side , is this common ? it's exceptionally obvious in lower volumes, maybe i should have my warranty changed . my right headband cant retract all the way in too. im afraid my wires got caught somewhere in the headband .

That actually happened to me as well.  I asked the seller to exchange the headphone.

How not as solid?

Specific performance of these differences: In a certain frequency from bass to midrange,T90 doesn't show its high cohesion, which leads to a lively and vivid sound. When listening to speed and power metal, it sounds like  excessive drums trend to extend upward, maybe with a feeling of being out of control though it's speedy and clear enough actually. Advantageously,  intense light and airy sense is  remarkably constructed in soundstage

He's saying that he doesn't like the boosted treble when it comes to percussion, but it works out nicely as far as soundstaging.  I'm unsure about this "cohesion" that is "lacking".

lidifei520, the "vividness" that I think you might be thinking of is from the treble boost, not midrange or bass frequencies.  That's the conclusion I came to from playing around with equalization and T90.  I find it "hyper-vivid", more vivid than even my K701, but after flattening out the treble, it sounds almost no different from K701.

I go back and forth with my 701's and T90s and the 701s are more clear, more analytical etc....the T90s are just more musical to me...I like both and depending on the music and my mood ....but if I had to choose the 701s would go and the T90s would stay...

Hello T90 owners,
Today i had a little comparison T90 vs HD600
I heard alot about HD600/650. So i wanted to listen to them myself. So I took T90 and made a little comparison.
I tested it through some ****ty old looking CD AMP and also with iPAD4 only.

FEW IMPRESSIONS:

*Body:
I imediately noticed that HD600 has bigger body on most of the songs. Its a bit wider, more taller.
*Soundstage:
HD600 wins in this category too. Its a little bit bigger, more deeper L/R. I thought that T90 has very little soundstage.
*Treble:
T90 looks more detailed, more vivid. But after HD600, T90 treble looks much hotter (but i adapt to treble quickly, and dont notice it few mins later).
*Bass:
Well for HD600 body and soundstage helps it a lot, so its sounds a bit different. I thought that HD600 has more bass, but in some songs T90 has more, stronger bass, that deeper bass (found in car bass tests videos, lol).
*Build quality:
T90 has more expensive, more well built look. I didint liked HD600 plastic. Also HD600 has a little bit bigger head clamp.

Overall. they both sounded similar to me. Like I wont be dissapointed left with HD600 or T90 (also i cant compare it with more expensive setup).
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
*So, maybe you guys can compare T90 vs HD600/650 using something like Bottlehead Crack
*It would be cool to know what others think overall?
*Also which headphone scales better in terms of amps/dacs?

Thanks!

i have tried the HD750 which was tiers more expensive than the T90, but i generally liked the T90's sound signature better, which then of course led me to getting one, the value is quite strong on the T90, the performance you get is actually tiers greater. As the build quality goes, i was not very satisfied as to how Sennheiser design their headphones, most of them are made of plastic parts, which is quite dissapointing for the HD750 & HD800 where you actually paid a little more for plastic parts, which i hope Senn would look into using lightweight metals or other materials for more premium build. The T90 are a really great pair to kick back and enjoy with. But i'll have to do part with my T90 for servicing for 2 weeks T.T due to Left-Right Imbalance. *sobs*
