Got these measured yesterday and WOW!!! They're a bit uneven, but they're very good.  Why didn't I know about these? How long have they been available?

Bye bye wallet one more time.

they do looks like cd900st....you know how the sound is compare to cd900st ?

sorry, haven't heard cd900st.. but I prefer mt220 over dt150.. neutral, amazingly comfy, brilliant bass extension, wonderfully uncolored neutral midrange, smooth non-fatiguing highs ...  super easy to drive...

P.S: but if you really like the dt150's sound signature, just keep it and try dt100 velor pads...

A headphone similar sound signature would be the Sennheiser HD 650.

I would have thought the HD650 is warmer sounding ? The DT 150 is less bright than most Beyers but wouldn't it be nearer to the HD600 if it can be compared with any Sennheiser ?

It is warmer and darker sounding, but I find its presentation more similar to the DT 150. The HD 600s presentation is a bit different, especially in the treble and upper mids. The DT 150 also reminds me more of the HD 650 in the bass than the HD 600.

I still think the sound between the two is quite different. The 650s has a laid back sound while the 150s is right between laid back and involving. And to my ears the 150s are more extended both ways while the 650s has a warmer, lusher and more musical sound. Not to mention the 650s has a larger more open soundstage. I prefer the more neutral and involving sound of the 150s overall, it's a headphone that IMO does nothing wrong at the price point. The only thing I want more from it is a bigger soundstage.

If anyone is interested; the DT150 is £96 on Amazon UK at the moment

Note this is less than 40% the price of the HD650.
