I would like to know what the differences between the COP + and the COP Studios are. I wonder if it just a different set of accesories that come with them.

As far as I can deduct from their webpages there are a few differences COP Studio vs. COP+:
*) velour pads vs. pleather
*) coiled cable vs. straight+mic/remote cable
*) no additional faceplates vs. set of 16 faceplates
*) 5.5N vs. 3.5N pressure
*) slightly different headband
*) slightly different tuning of the bass settings with essentially the Studio offering a step between 2 and 3 of the COP+, while leaving out 4. so the COP+ has 1 / 2 / 3 / 4 and the Studio 1 / 2 / 2.5 / 3 so to say

Good luck with the C1P's.... from my experience and that of other people ... they have a tendency to lose the right hand speaker...mine died after 20 minutes (brand new set). Have read on other forums of other people having the same problem. Just my 2c worth.

How do the new Custom One Pro Plus differ from the original.

The only thing I can see that's new is an extra  one button remote cable.

i am in the market for a COP / COP+.

I emailed beyerdynamic and was told that COP+ is essentially the same headphone acoustically with some additional accessories thrown in.

I auditioned the Custom One Studio and really liked its sound signature. Its 80 ohms so doesn't get as loud with just an iphone. To my untrained ears, it has better mids than the DT770 with somewhat smaller soundstage.

So this is really the only active COP thread? It looks like this is a better place than any to ask:

Has anyone tried the COP+ at CES and can offer their opinion on the headphone? I am not really in the market for these but I am just curious because friends sometimes ask me for headphone advice.

If thats still relevant, maybe I can help you out tomorrow or the day after: expecting delivery of a Custom One Pro Plus... So if you have any specific questions I'll do my best to help you out.

Hiya, iv just come across this thread & I'm pretty set on these. There's only 1 thing I'd like to find out? Do these headphones deal with vocals properly? As in does an 's' come through as 's' or more like 'th'? I'm on the vmoda crossfade lp 1's & although I love them, they are not very clear. Would these be better than my crossfades? I'm looking for a one 4 all headphone. The closest iv come was the ath a900x. They were something special, the clarity was phenominal! I'd even sacrificed bass for them but they just wouldn't sit right on my head & they were not portable. Any other recommendation guys? Looking for something that isn't cold but with clarity, bass, portability & closed back preferably for less than £250. Iv had koss portapros, jvc ha-s680, ath a900x, ath ws99 & crossfade lp 1. Thanks :)

The Custom One may be a nice step up in clarity, while still able to give massive amounts of rather clear bass.

I'm primarily talking about the Custom Studio, which I have had for some weeks now and used quite a bit. The One Pro is still waiting in its package for me to have time to test it out, but I heard it on several occasions and do not see a major difference in midrange/treble between the two models. Will check again with my own One Pro though.

Hey peeps,

This is more FYI then anything else. I noticed a few minutes ago my COPs were making a tiny "rattle" sound out of the left can all of a sudden. I am not rough on my headphones, and never listen to them loud. Anywho... I opened them up and looked around at the driver. I found, sticking out of the center paper film, a hair... So I removed said hair and checked everything else seemed in order. Well they are back together now and all is well

. I will have to say these are some delicate drivers in our COPs if a single hair can make that sort of rattle

No big deal just glad it was nothing worse,

Does anybody know if the DT880/990 velour pads will fit onto the COP?

Thanks!

They'll fit but don't know what they'll do to the sound. They are open headphones. Think you should try EDT770 designed for DT770.
