Poweramp Alpha maybe, but regular Poweramp only uses native Android audio output.

For me, UAPP even without an external DAC wins my vote, as it allows you to override the 48khz sample rate limit of Android, noticeable even through these headphone out.

Really Poweramp does not support sample frequencies above 48KHz???
I just installed it and it works with my 24/192 library without any problem.
I'm confused...

are you talking that it plays it back? If so, then yes, it will, but will almost certainly down sample to 16/48...

Alpha on the other hand does things differently, and ignores that limitation.

Damn...
Are you sure? They should write it in the app's description!!

So the players which don't have this limitation are Alpha and UAPP (which I couldn't find in the Play Store by the way)?

Alpha is only available via Poweramp website, and UAPP is USB Audio Player Pro :)

isnt the alpha free so how come its better than the non free version
no, from my understanding it is a trial version (14 days) but unlocked if you've bought a previous version (mine shows as purchased after installing the unlocker from the play store)

Really? What's a pity... I've listened to S6 and it sounded worse than my Nubia Z9 classic (which i do not consider as an audiophile smartphone).
So, Samsung just ignores sound quality in their flagmans. OKAY... :)

Safest bet for SQ is Marshall London it seems.

Does anyone here bought a Huawei P9 Plus?
It has better specs than the HTC 10 with Leica (apparently) camera, bigger battery (3400 mAh), better display (Super AMOLED), Dual-sim capability, IR Blaster, good/better processor (HiSilicon Kirin 955, check speed test on Youtube) and a 24-bit/192kHz audio. Might want to have a little feedback regarding the device's audio capability and if it's good, then it might be my next smartphone Thank you. :)
Edit:
Found some audio graph of Huawei P9/S7/LG V10/HTC 10

So, what do you think?

Wouldn't trust their reviews:

On the htc 10:

Its internal audio is powered by a SoC (system on chip) Qualcomm Snapdragon 820, which uses Qualcomm’s WSA8815 Audio Codec. We were impressed by its ability to drive high impedance headphones, with a tested volume of only 55-60 percent, versus phones like theGoogle Nexus 6P which required 90-95 percent to reproduce the same volume.

And then:

Best audio phone 2016 UK: Internal audio quality conclusion

To conclude, the phone with the best internal audio quality is the Samsung Galaxy S6, due to its Wolfson Microelectronics WM1840 Audio Codec. The phone could produce fantastic quality audio. We noticed a very minimal amount of distortion and a good overall frequency reproduction through the lows, mids and highs. It should be noted that the Samsung Galaxy S6 does have a slightly warmer tone over phones such as the iPhone 6s. However, due to its fantastic bass extension and even its tonality the Galaxy S6 was able to produce some of the best sound from a phone. It should be noted that both the Marshall Londo and BQ Aquaris have fantastic audio DACs, with both sharing the same Wolfson WM8281 audio chipset, which provide a great internal audio reproduction. The HTC 10 also impressed us with its SoC performance of the Snapdragon 810 chipset.

I'm sure plenty folks could find this conclusion as not very valid.
