best quality wireless IEM/headphones?

Yep my thoughts too, dirty source or possibly even the IEM/s themselves were playing-up...
Kleer connected cans/IEMs don't hiss when the signal breaks down, they just drop-out altogether if the signal degrades too much.

Correct...
Although I think they have to be distance compatible devices, the Kleer IC does a few different ranges.
I could be wrong though, forgotten most of what I read-up on....

May be just the power in the transmitter. I dont know either, found a few intresting links on the sleek though.

I wonder if Sennheiser is going to come with a new kleer device soon, its been a while since they made the mx-w1 right?
A cx-w1 would have been real nice, but i diden`t see that when they launched their new cx series or have they given up on kleer?
And when is a decent dap with built-in kleer transmitter coming out. To me it seems like bluetooth is winning this round despite to the fact that kleer is superior in the sq department, really frusterating if you ask me

Yeah I think it's going to be hard for them to compete with BT longer-term, unless they ramp-up the capabilities of the spec. beyond SQ performance....
Then again I suppose they don't need to "compete" as such, they just need to make sure their format becomes the ubiquitous "go to" for quality wireless sound.

I'm seriously considering this as a supplement to my RS180

Maybe a later revision of it though.....

RS180 is for sure a no-go if isolation is a must. RS170 is closed and may be better if you want around ear. i think your best bet is the     Sleek CT6 with the Sleek W1 wireless unit for maximum isolation. Sleek SA1 / SA6 / SA7 can also be connected to the wireless unit. I have only heard the RS180 though.

sony mdr ds7100 vs sennheiser rs180??  isolation??

The MDR-DS7100 is inferior to the kleer-based, open circumaural, RS180; unless the latter is used in a noisy environment.
And the RS-180 hardly emits any noise from "leakage".....

The only advantage the DS7100 has is the decent in-built simulated surround...
But that can be corrected on the RS-180 by adding the Victor SU-DH1 or Mixamp.

SA7 or CT6 + W-1 (kleer adapter) looks pretty sweet if IEM's and isolation is your thang.
I heard talk that an improved adapter was coming, but so far I've only seen the W-1 available for pairing with the SA7/CT6.

i didn't know the rs180 were open, and the rs 170 are closed.

ah and so sleek only does iem no phones?

i wonder if the 7100 can isolate better than the zero isolating 6000.

didnt panasonic or jvc make a wireless can

No sleek not make any cans that i`m aware of yet. Is this meant for portable use or just at home? Since isolation is a must. I have no idea about the sonys, pioneers, panasonics or jvcs only that they are bluetooth based and the Sennheiser RS180/170/160 and Tdk TH-WR700 that is Kleer based. Kleer is superior to bluetooth in bandwith and batterytime though. Here is some more info on kleer vs bluetooth
