Just got these and boy do they deliver, just what i was looking for! :)
Agreed, these have become my go to tips for several different IEM's.

Are there tips with the same mechanics as SpinFits for 5mm ("wide") nozzle diameter? I like how the "spin" effects soundstage and am just curious about other options.

Doesn't have the SpinFit swivel but I've found the KBEAR 07 to be similar to CP145 as far as fit is concerned (4.37mm vs 4.5mm). Dials back overly aggressive treble more than CP100 (or CP 145) but only slightly.

I only tried these because they came included with TRI Meteor. They come in a set of 5 sizes for less than the price of one pair of SpinFits. Individual pairs are about 1/3 the price of SpinFits. The extra sizes are handy because I can use the M+ size for deeper fitting IEMs and the L size for normal or shallow fits.

I'm getting some of the KBEAR 07 to try. They are 3.16 mm and look promising for smaller nozzles (eg. CCA CA16)

TENNMAK foams are the best bang for the buck I've found. The foam that takes longer to rebound after you compress it. Tough too, they seem to last better than others. Six pairs for roughly the same price as one pair of Comply tips!

I admit to being a cheapskate, gotta have some cash left for IEMs! ;)

Wanted to use my Spinfit CP100s again, but it looks like I didn't store them properly because the silicone turned yellowish and they smell. :( The small plastic container I stored them in also had a slightly wet spot where the tips were settled, like they had melted or something. I soaked them in mild soap + lukewarm water then used a cotton swab to try to reach the corners, would these still be safe to use?

Idk about the wet spot but I had a couple that turned yellow, I figured it’s just the clear color over time cuz clear phone cases also turn yellow.

Dump them in rubbing alcohol for 20 mins and you should be good IMO.

Like a lot of people I've become quite a fan of the Epro horn tips. They just add this warmth and smoothness to everything and they sound unlike anything else I've tried (Final Type E, Whizzer SS20, Alza Earfit light, CP100, various stock stips). They're also super comfy when you get used to inserting their odd shape.

I'm still building up my vocabulary/perception for this hobby so I'm wondering. How do you think they effect the sound stage/ overall presentation compared to other tips?

I have a pair of yanyin aladdins which I love for most genres but found I prefer my globes better for electronic. Not because of the bass or even overall tuning, I'm actually not the biggest fan overall, but just how the sound stage was closer (I think). I think the word commonly used would be more "intimate"? With the Epro's however it seems to bridge the gap a bit. It still retains a lot of that space/separation but returns that immersing sort of intoxicating feel of the globes. Everything feels more jelled together and less spaced out but in a good way.

So what general quality am I hearing? Are the mids more "forward" now? It sounds like the layer of sound that was previously more in the foreground is more merged with the layers that I hear to the left/right and in the middle of my head. I'm interested in what y'all think so I can hone my preference for my next pair.
Hi, your comment on the Epro Horn got me interested in them. I want them for my LETSHUOER S12, which has a 5.5 diameter at the notch in the nozzle. Do you think the Regular Epro Horn will fit on them? or should I get the newest model which fit nozzles from 4.9 to 7mm bit it is shorter at the same time.

Are you saying there's two kinds of Epro's now? Could you link them?

Oh, interesting. I didn't know they made new ones.

I just thinned down my iem collection so I don't have much to test but my yanyin aladdins have a 5.2 mm notch and the EP00 fit pretty easily. They take a bit of technique to wiggle on but I think they would fit on 5.5mm well too. I definitely wouldn't want to go larger.

I had a pair of globes with a 5mm nozzle and they were actually a bit too loose for that size. It slid off easily and was kind of sketchy. I went on a few tweezer adventures because of this. They were slippery nozzles in general though. I also read in another comment that they were slipping off their 4.8mm - 5mm wide iems so I think the EP00 fit bigger then they claim.

The material is also really soft so I could see it loosening over time as it stretches out and as you take it on and off.

If the EP001 is a full mm bigger I think you would be on the real low end. I skimmed the reviews and found one that said "Too big and did not fit properly, even if the shaft is 5.5mm", so I might be right.

I think they would fit best but I'm not totally sure, you might want to ask someone who's tried the EP00's on a bigger set.

And also be mindful of width. I find the soft material deforms easily so it needs to be pretty close to ideal, there's not a lot of leeway. The difference between the 12.3 mm of the ep00 and the 12mm of the ep001 might matter if you're in that m/l range.

Apparently the EP01's sounds a bit different too but that's just from taking a quick glance.

Thank you for your very insightful reply. Agree with you, so many variables. So in the end I ordered both and then will decide on one and send back the other

Hey, just got some budget SoundMagic E10c to test out my use case with IEM before i commit to something nicer. Decent effort, if a bit forced with the v-shaped tuning. But the main complain would be the lack of isolation from the oem silicone tips, which in turn makes the experience even more tireing as i listen louder than I would like.

So looking for recommendations for a very well insulating tip, that can also bring the UF brightness down just a tad, while also not enforcing the midbass. My preference is for a neutral, smooth, slightly (mid)warm presentation that is complimentary to acoustic instruments and voices (jazz, classical, blues for the most part).

Comply 400 series fits the bill? Something else?

Thanks,

What's the nozzle size on those?

Anyone got the final audio e type (edge style)??

Bit confused of the size.

Medium is 11.8mm and large is 12.5mm

I'm normally a medium in other tips, about 12.5mm

Do i need to go a size up or is this by design so to speak and due to shape of the tips? I don't really want to buy both sizes as difficult to return used items.

Did you guys buy a size up?
