Hi,

How come you haven't found a pair?

I see you've even bought a pair of HD238 (http://www.head-fi.org/forum/thread/530413/bought-a-sennheiser-hd238-opinions).

You really should search. Or try here:

I like the Koss KCS75 or the PortaPro for under $50 new. The Maximo iM590 is well regarded at $50, although I have not heard it myself.

It might help if you could tell us whether you have the budget for an amp, and what kind of music you listen to. It may be worthwhile to save for a bit, and stretch you budget to $100; you'll have more options.

Otherwise, haunt Head-fi's sale forum. There's a few things there now in your price range, including an HD228 and a K430.

I found a pair of Klipsch Image S4 on Ebay new for $49.99ish buy it now. The seller had quite a few within the last month.

I'm really liking these earbuds. I listen to music 8+ hours/day at work.

For sub $100 and under, I think IEMs perform much better than cans.

Try tracking down a used RE0 or M2, those are probably the best sound you can get for around that price range.

There's really not much full size options at that price point. Creative Aurvana Live! is said to be a rebadge of Denon D1001 and was around $40 when I bought mine. Other than that maybe some of the JVCs or low end Senns. If you look for something other than full sized though you should be able to find used hje900 and es7 for around $50
