I agree with you about the Ultrasones S-logic sound being weird, M50s and the Denons being great. The CALs are pretty fun to listen to, but I find their bass quantity and quality (as well as everything else but comfort) to be somewhat lacking in comparison to the M50. Seems like M50 is getting a lot of hate these days, perhaps they've been overly suggested around these parts, but truth be told, they are a great set of cans for the price. I wouldn't recommend the HFI 580 to anyone - actually, I'm telling people to *really* audition them before buying because of their S-logic.

So basically you admit the price will be the same for the next billion years?

Then you would have to put the Sun's lifespan in perspective with the lifespan of the universe, which is like comparing the lifespan of the earth with a mayfly.

Aeronautics was undergrad. The rest are more specialized.

You could be ear specialist who also happens to be an audiologist...

lol I've actually thought about that XD, but idk gonna be a while to decide anything for sure, just gotta keep up the grades and been considering some neuro stuff anyway, audiology wouldn't be too far off.

just got my SRH750 through my employee discount and they sound magnificiant. after buying my Grado 225i's, i wanted something with a bit more bass (in my case something with a lot more). mids and highs are great as well. sounds great with my E7 amp. anyone knows if burn in changes a lot? btw these headphones are TIGHT around the head jeeez

I've gotta ask, but are the HFI-580s earpads removable?  More to the point... Which which you consider the better phone... The Ultrasone 580 or the Shure 750 DJ, or is the 50 or so dollars worth it for the DT770s?

i would never recommend the hd 448 as good for bass heavy music. its very weak and the bass distorts easily especially at higher volumes.

the  one thing the hd 448 does good is neutrality and midrange, the midrange is very smooth and detailed.

Why not include the Creative Aurvana Live? It's really cheap and probably one of the best deals out there in terms of basshead cans. I own the SRH750 and find them more sub-bass oriented, while the Creatives are more mid-bass (impact) oriented, although they also extend very deep.
