Well, first of all, you will not hear anywhere near full potential of any HP's without EQ. Even your current sennhs COULD possibly suit your needs with some aggressive eqing.

if this is just a theoetical question, i remember people used to say the audio technica L3000 had the best bass.
this is based purely on what i've read in the past, unfortunately, i had not had the pleasure.

The crossfeed circuit on the Grace m903 widens the soundstage and it even has a little Bass boost built-in. It's a lot of fun and it's quickly becoming one of my favorite features. I wish more audiophile companies would add features like this... It's fun and you can always turn them off if you don't need them.

Yes, that is the beauty of these kind of features that you can turn them on and off depending on what headphones you are using. You can even use them to tune the sound from song to song. And the iCAN also has a separate soundstage enhancement feature they call 3D with two settings, in addition to the bass boost which also has two settings..

I wish I knew how the bass boosted switch was configured, the JDS Labs C5 has +6.5dB @ 80Hz which is a pretty nice setting for me, not too much or too little for a bass boost switch.

There is some more info in the second article listed here, but not quite the info you are asking for:
Article about the power supply for the iCAN: http://www.facebook.com/notes/ifi-audio/ifi-audio-ultra-low-noise-acdc-adapter/483150281720719
Article about the X-Bass feature: http://www.facebook.com/notes/ifi-audio/xbass-totally-addicted-to-bass/467554343280313
Article about the 3D Holographic sound: http://www.facebook.com/notes/ifi-audio/what-is-3d-holographic-sound/465871956781885

I would suggest you contact iFi and ask them.

You're insane, aren't you?

For $249 you can get 4 XB500's and listen to all of them at once

If you had a chance to hear the difference in amount of bass which could be made by a simple android app (yea, fcuking android app) and a cheap E6 (not even in red EQ, it's blue to avoid muddiness..), you would be blown away...

For bass-tipped headphones, I personally preferred the Denon AH-D7000 for low frequency quantity, quality and reach.  While I did not audition the PRO-900, I did a/b the PRO-2900 and the D7000, and found the Denon's bass uniformly superior.

2900 and 900 are two very different animals.
