And better battery, so it seems like a no brainer. TyThey are both good and sound similar. The x1 has the nice colour screen and good ui.

Any improvements?
Absolutely but it was so long ago I really don't remember everything. Much faster, better UI...

I ask S5B, not S5.Why dont you bother to read in the bracket....
Well just go ahead and put fw meant for another player on yours.

I'm using the internal storage and an SD card - not sure what you mean when you say that you can't use both?Hey mate try a different USB cable see if that helps? Does it mount in windows? Do you see the remove safely icon? I am on windows 8.1 so i am not sure how the UI has changed. I didn't use my Benji cable so i cant comment sorry! (i just plugged it in using the OEM cable to my external HDD it reads okay it does seem low quality my HDD keeps cutting out?)
It shouldn't matter what storage you use. At the start i did use the the internal memory now i bought a 32g SD card but they should both read on windows.
One thing to keep in mind is that when you do get an SD card you will have to dump your music from your internal memory because the S5 and X1 dont read from both sources at once.
Let us know how you go? I have a few ideas.

I cannot access both memories at once to listen to music? I can either choose from sd slot or internal memory for my music at one time?
@groucho69 how does the s5 compare to your other dap's?

Sure but you can switch between the two. I might listen to an album from the internal memory then one from the SD card so I still get to use all the memory. Or do you prefer to use shuffle to listen to your music? I'm guessing that would only work with internal or sd card memory at one time.I cannot access both memories at once to listen to music? N3 is my daily player. The AGPTek is my wife's, the Walnut I use as an amp with the X2. The S5 is my travel DAP. Great on the plane and the beach. Fun sound with my Vidos.

Yea i like to access a lot of different albums a few songs from each album so its a pain to keep switching between storage. I bought a Kingston micro SD card for around $20 AUD for 32g and the 16g was around $15 AUD so not much difference. I just dump all my music on that its enough for me. The biggest files i usually use are 320kbps MP3s. I have a few flac but not many.Sure but you can switch between the two. Oh Ok, yeah, best to just ignore the internal storage then. Or maybe you could use it for audiobooks or something like that, if you ever listen to them.Yea i like to access a lot of different albums a few songs from each album so its a pain to keep switching between storage. I've got a lot of my music in FLAC format but I've been testing lately and I don't think I can tell the difference between MP3 VBR 0 and FLAC so I've been filling a 32g card with VBR 0 files. It's nice to be able to fit so much stuff on a 32-gig card, after years of telling myself only lossless would do.

Hi guys, need help regarding flashing my obscure player Askmeer K5 - some offered under Auphil M20 - which I found out had similarity to Ruizu d01 and Agptek A01t (one with available firmware update). They are all using ATJ2127 chip, same soft buttons and hard buttons configuration with slightly different placement. The included Action Audio Tool won't find my player (although it appears on windows explorer). If I just put the *.fw file in micro sd card, will I be able to update from the player menu without using my laptop?
Hi guys I'm looking to get a DAP. Should I get the s5, X1, or t6?
I have pinnacle px @ 50 ohms.
And where should i purchase in USA? I see the s5 on penon. Is Ali express better or gearbest?

This is interesting because the buttons could be in different sequence so maybe your volume buttons will change track instead of volume if you flash it. If you do flash it make sure you keep a copy of the original firmware. Also no guarantee that the screen will work proper. If you keep your original firmware wont be an issue because you can revert back.
To update you will have to use your laptop its like flashing a PC bios updating the firmware. The program is a pain to use but if you read the manual it helps it tells you the right way to get the hardware working with the program. Mine was a stuff around also.
