Coupe: but given low sensitivity = more current needed, and high resistance/impedance = more voltage needed, aren't they contradictory to V = IR?
I mean, we're not saying that the Beyers need both high current and high voltage right? (Is that even possible to provide)

Thank you for the correction!  There's learning going on all over this thread

The DT770 have plenty of bass.  In fact, for me it's too much.
And it's not very tight.

In comparison, I think the bass on the DT880 is very good, very neutral and true.
(I really like the HD 25 1 II, but agree that their bass is a touch too light for certain music.)
For closed headphones I like the bass on the Shure 840, AT ATH-M50, and Denon 2000, for three examples.
Very solid and present, but not overbearing.

The Ultrasone 780 have about as much bass as I'd want.  Any more would be too much for me.

Yea, if you are looking for bass then you want to get a modded DT770 called the Luke Skybeyer...it has without question the most gut wrenching bass I've ever experienced.  Im told the fostex mod has yet more, but its much more expensive i think.  Darth Beyer DT770 or Luke Skybeyer DT770 32 ohm is the way to go man, I just recently sold mine here, I loved the hell out of it but it was a bit too large for my dainty head :)

I purchased and resold my skybeyer for less than the cost of a new DT770 or 880, best place to get them is right here on the for sale forums.  Place a wanted add for it and im sure someone will eventually message you willing to sell theirs.

Yes, as long as its a 32ohm version of the modification.  As the beyers come in 32, 250 and 600 ohm.  The Fiio e11 will power through the 32 ohm versions nicely.
