Allow me to share some of the stories behind long road to get to AV6 now...

- The first prototype of Avara AV6 was done in July 2017.....the sound was horrible (no details, super boomy), you can see on the first photo below (the one without faceplate and unfinished)
- It is true that more drivers would lead to more phase cancellation effect (this first prototype of AV6 compared with AV3, AV3 is much much better)
- From the first prototype, we tried numerous combinations of drivers, crossovers, driver positioning....and it's really true that driver positioning definitely has huge effect on the final end result (and driver positioning also play an important role to fix phase cancellation as well)
- On the 2nd prototype which was finished on Oct 2017 (2nd picture, the ones used black shell and clear + brushed metal faceplate), it sounds very nice before full fill in process.....we were confident that we had found the perfect combination.....but when we did full fill in, it becomes very bad (super dark, lots of details gone)....so this is another fail project
- Finally on the final prototype this last week of Dec 2017 (last photo with clear shell and AV6 logo), there had been some revisions on crossover, driver positioning and driver wiring as well....my heart was thumping loudly (worried that after full fill in would give a very bad sound result)......it turns out this final prototype sounds very nicely and we all think that this is ready to sell version...
So how is AV6 sound signature?
Avara AV3 is our current local best seller....AV6 is the natural upgrade path from AV3. AV6 has a very fun sound with accurate tonal balance. Compared with AV3, AV6 has improved micro details (without being over bright on high section), mid is smoother with better vocal texture and more bass qty with better low deep freq response (listening to RnB sound which needs lower and deeper bass, AV6 can go to lower bass freq compared with AV3).
Overall we are really happy with this AV6....
