I Have including the T800 6 different iems.
My my source is the lgv30 Plus got the built-in quad DAC.

So it's not source.

I know what a blown speaker sounds like I 55 yo.

Are you using high impedance mode?

Maybe a longshot, but perhaps change of cable?
Does both left and right

sound the same?
Thanks for you're input I have a copper cable.
Audiosense suggest try another source so I tried my es100 and I don't notice the same problems I will do more testing.
Maybe get one of those adapters people us with the hiby impedance adapters or something.

The “blown speaker” sound is driver distortion, which BAs are much more susceptible to distortion than dynamic drivers.

It doesn’t matter how many other earphones sound fine on your source. Just because 20 work fine doesn’t mean that 20 more will. That’s just the way it is with many all-BA earphones due to their impedance (not just the T800, but many others).

The solution is to change the source. You can still use your phone, but if you add something like an ES100 then your problems will go away.

Thank for your detailed explanation.

Some further testing is in order for me.

Does any with the t800 and a lg v30, v20 or the g7 or 8 could please try something for. So I can sleep tonight.

Please plug the t800 straight no aux mode or anything then play this song at about 60 volume and tell me what you hear. Please tell if it sounds distorted in the bass at about 30 sec into the song??

Ok on my v30+ distorted

5.5th Gen Enhanced iPod distorted

IPhone SE no distortion

Es100 no distortion

Mee btx2 Bluetooth cable no distortion

And the Fiio q5 no distortion.

So much for only carrying my phone and my iems!!!!!!

So on the v30, did you try both low impedance and high impedance mode? Maybe one will work better than the other.

I wish my LG G6 let me select HIM manually. It selects automatically and the only IEM that triggers it for me was the Audio Technica IM04. The T800's treble sounded quite harsh and with sibilant in normal mode that's why I sold it, though I don't recall the bass distorting for me.
