Got a little tour of the Audeze facility yesterday when I was in town. Saw the manufacturing area and it was mentioned they were going to adjusting a fair bit around to get ready for automation for the Mobius and then I briefly saw the area where all the Audeze drivers were made. I would say it is probably safe to say the Mobius will be US made, unless I wasn't mean't to say this just yet, if so my bad!

Did you get to listen to the Mobius? Any impressions?

Sankar took it home with him yesterday before I arrived so I just missed my chance! Heard the prototype at NAMM Show back in late January but it was a bit noisy with the Audeze booth being right next a drum booth and a subwoofer booth that I would be hard pressed to give accurate impressions. Tested out the 3D effects with a movie and that was certainly very cool.

I didn't think of this sooner, but the X7 RECEIVES bluetooth audio and transmits to wired connected headphones/speakers. It's not an audio transmitter that the Mobius would pick up. This seems like common sense that I didn't think of until testing it now, though it's likely because I have never used that function.

So no, PS4 to X7 to Mobius wouldn't work wirelessly.

At least not just like that. You can buy something like the Avantree Saturn Pro which takes audio from na 3.5mm output and transmits. The Mobius can pick that up, though not sure how good that product is sound quality-wise.
Daaaang. There go my hopes of going completely wireless on my PS4!

Though... I do have a USB bluetooth dongle connected to my PS4 that I have connected to the X7 (because of the mic? I really have no idea anymore, since I set it up a year or so ago). So, maybe not all hope is lost! I'll also do a little research into that kind of bluetooth transmitter and see what people say.

The only thing I've been able to come across at this point is using a video capture device, but that's A) rather expensive for the function of simple audio conversion, and B) in my experience with those devices, there's a delay on the PC side of things (in the typical setup) of picture and audio, as the focus is on the passthrough on these devices not adding any lag or delay in moving the signal the rest of the way to the television or monitor.

How about an hdmi to Bluetooth transmitter that will work with the Mobius (I’m clueless here)?

Would wearing three pairs allow for 5.1?
Pair 1: FL, FR
Pair 2: RL, RR
Pair 3: C, S

Taking a look at my SONY it has a USB SS3.0 out, any hope that it will support 7.1 surround with the Möbius?

Kmann@audeze

I'll be modding mine for direct and bypass connection, so I can EQ and amp in peace with my own hardware.

BTW what type of dac is used within the Mobius?

We met at the Houston meet last year. Can we get ours early (Mine and 7 others here at work, including "Goodtimes") before the next Houston meet?!

Hi everyone here,
I am looking for a while now for a headphone.
I would use them for movies, gaming on Xbox One and listening music on the computer.
I don't know much about hardware so I am confused with these headphones.
If I game with the Xbox One I can use all the features of the headphone when I game and/or watch a movie? And when they do I have to connect them with a wire from the controller to the console?
Is it also possible to connect the headphone to the television by bluetooth (my television supports that with other headphones) and use the xbox one that way, will I still get the surround sound?
I sometimes look at movies in another format (divx,etc...), does the movies has to have a 5.1 encoded in their file or disc, or does the headphone create this by themselves?
Sorry for all these questions but I have to have to decide soon otherwise it becomes to expensive with all these import fees here in Belgium.

So console support for movies and games with surround sound seems to be the most requested feature. However it doesn't seem to be a capability for this model. There are a multitude of ways to connect for 2 channel but PC support seems to be their target market. We'll see if enough feedback get's them to make a console solution but in the meantime we don't have one
