It is a joint . Completely normal and not out of spec .Got to try a Mobius today.
Love the sound, soundstage, soft earpads, and features.
Don't love the 10 hour battery life, or creaking and cracking headband on both available demos.

No real creaking on my set.
What kind of battery life were you expecting out of curiosity?
See if u can find the other joint next to the a of audeze .The pictured area is not a joint - it's part of the plastic section of the headband at 10 & 2 (ish) when viewed from the front - and when spread to put on the head it creaks audibly on both sets. (Blue more than Copper)
The joint is in blue on the headphones.
Other wireless headphones I've been looking at have anything from 16-30 hours of battery - I expected around the lower end but not that much lower. I guess it makes sense due to the technology in the headphones though.
The battery life is lower than normal headphones because of the electronics and DSP. It is not because of the Planar. With Fluxor magnets and thin film, we have really optimized the Mobius driver that it is on-par with a dynamic driver. The DSP on the other hand is still first generation chip with all the processing.See if u can find the other joint next to the a of audeze .
I guess planar driver is pretty power hungry. See if u can find one wireless planar that got better battery life. Of course would love to see improvement in the next iteration.

Where was this ? It is possible some of the demo units out there are earlier models. It is a tooling mark on the headband.Got to try a Mobius today.

This really depends on the chipset use and the DSP. If regular wireless headphones have as much processing as the Mobius, they would most likely have similar battery performance or worse.=

Tooling mark is on all the headphones. Some earlier demo units had some fit issues because they were hand assembled before production started.Hello! All of the units have this line or only early demo models? Asking just out of curiosity as aside of some slight hiss mines are perfectly fine, but they do have this line.
