Audeze LCD-5 Review, Measurements, Interview

Right now I have an RME adi-2 dac fs and LCD-3F's and love the sound as is, with no EQ needed. I spent some time adjusting the EQ including the recommended harman curve or similar, and I prefer the stock sound more.
I'm slowly starting to look for an even more transparent and detailed headphone without any extra brightness, but starting to think that it doesn't exist. Not from what I've heard or read so far anyway. Maybe for my ears I just won't find better, and should be happy about not spending more money. It's still an incredible combo anyway.
You can check T+A Solitaire P. It might be the HP you are looking for.

Had the opportunity to hear these at a hifi convention in Paris, not the best conditions but I thought they nailed the best tuning among the headphones I auditioned. I didn't find them analytical or mid-centric at all, they're well balanced and have an organic sound. The Susvara sounded supremely transparent but a bit more artificial to me ears despite being driven by a tube amp. The Meze Elite were quite good too but I didn't find anything especially remarkable about them, they just seems to be a good all-rounder with a smooth sound signature. FWIW the Clear MG were my second favorite headphone of show.

when I first heard and bought the sol p I referred to it as being what an improved and updated LCD-4 might be...it is really good and easy to drive as well...I am curious to hear the LCD-5 and compare

How much power in MW do I need for these? Do we know the sensitivity and resistance?
Yes and yes, it's on the product page. MW needed isn't an exact parameter that shows whether an amp can bring the LCD-5 to it's full potential.

They are 14ohm and 90db/mW sensitivity, so you need 0.000000001MW to get to 90db. Though, perhaps 0.000001MW or even 0.000002MW at 16ohm to preserve headroom.

Hmm now I suspect actual (mean) power draw of the headphones is being confused with maximum power output of an amp. Which is completely dependant on the amp design and can be absolutely non linear (cfr. my Auralic Taurus Mk2)

Given that some of the answers to your questions are easily found with a bit of effort, please use the search function and common sense, eg: the specs are obviously going to be on the manufacture’s web site.
