To the mod making the pads open up bit, letting cans breathe so the bass wont be reduced and making the sound bit more airy/wider.

And for me it makes big difference.

can u show pics

It is just literally at point just putting plastic straws between your skin and pads. Trying to find some sort of plastic tubes what i can put under pads and the case of cups. Will put up photos when i make the mod permanent. In few days.

There is easy way to find out, just lift the headphones from the cable plugs little bit of the skin. The sound change is audible right away.

I have no issues with the bass levels at all. They’re just fine. To any casual readers of this thread, and listeners of these phones, just stop reading this thread and enjoy your LCD’s. that’s what I’m doing

Do the straws actually work? I can't image the holes are big enough.
They are, just 2mm hole is enough. They dont need to be same size as in 8" subwoofer :D

Guys, what do you think, what should be better accompany to LCD-2C? JDS Labs The Element or Massdrop x THX AAA™ 789 or Massdrop x Alex Cavalli Liquid Carbon X Amp?

these are my first pair of audeze cans and i have to admit,
these lcd2c are bulky and heavy.

also I hear occasionally a slight hum in the wire, too.
wonder if it's cable related or some cross electrical interference?
might have to return them.
(my original purchase was a buddy but those fell thru, these
were almost same price as bstock from an ebay seller, with 30 day return)

going back and forth with them and my hd6xx with my chord mojo.
admit i was initially disappointed, expecting to be blown away by the audeze.
sure there are some diffs but it's not night an day as i was (perhaps mistakenly) hoping for.
the hd6xx have just become an even bigger value at the fab price (cdn200) that i got them for.
this said, i'll continue to listen back and forth and get my hp listening skills back on track.

Mojo is ok but not quite enough for the 2C. Extension lacks on both ends.
I'd also recommend to give your ears time to adjust.

My suggestion is to go with Mojo to a local audio store and check another pair of the same model.
So that you will be sure that your particular pair is not broken.

I was thinking about getting a pair of classics, but I tend to prefer a more neutral or brighter sound. Should I look at the regular Fazon LCD2's instead or skip right to the X's?
