Audeze LCD-2 Orthos

I intend to listen and compare first, but I'm thinking that either the LCD-2 or an O2 will be my "destination" headphone. I have and like an HE-5, I also have an RS-1 and an HD-600. Please, please, tell me they don't sound anything at all like an HD-6xx!  Heard enough of the dreaded "veil".

I don't know where all of these guys come off comparing the LCD-2 to the HD6XX sound. well if that's what they are hearing so be it right..
 
Frank, let me know if you want to listen to the LCD-2 and i'll send mine to you for a coupleof of weeks on loan.

Nobody is saying the LCD2 sounds just like the HD6x0...regal was asking if it sounded more like the Senns or more like Grados and we answered.  Read up.  If you think it sounds more like Grados, feel free to give that opinion.
 
MrSpenk, I'm referring to the RS1/PS1000/SR325/SR60 in particular.  Actually the PS1000 didn't sound like those other 3 but I still didn't like it.

I compared them to the HD600 in the sense that they seem to have a pleasantly tamed treble but at the same time it still extends quite nicely - its just not harsh or peaky. Still the LCD-s leaves the HD-600 for dead in every aspect but I just found them to not be so dissimilar in their presentations.

I thought the LCD series sounds like how the HD-6xx ought to have sounded.... they give me the experience I had expected (but did not get) from the Senns. So the LCD series is dramatically different from the HD-6xx. IMHO. There is something about the sound that reminds me a bit of the good aspects of the HD series. But I think it ends there.

Thanks for the clarification. I actually enjoy the HF2. Is that so wrong?

How do they compared to the HE6? Especially in the low end, which one is more powerful? I currently have the HE6, but i am wondering if I should have gotten the LCD-2.

Has anyone else ha experience with Leben cs300xs, Violectric v200 and Concerto? How would you line them up in terms of sound quality and synergy?

I'm more confused why, when you were at the meet and the LCD2s outnumbered the HE6s, why you didn't try them and form your own opinion.

I was in a big rush.... I had to get to work. I wish I did listen to them though.
