Hi all, I'm planning on getting an LCD-2 as soon as the next batch comes out and I have a quick question regarding using them in balanced drive.    I currently own a Woo Audio 5 which has a balanced K1000 socket as well as standard speaker terminals.  Does this mean that if I were to re cable and plug the LCD-2 into either the K1000 socket or wire the cable into the speaker outputs that I would be getting a balanced drive on whatever I'm plugging in?  I know it might be totally unnecessary but I'm really curious.

LCD2 / ALO LUX-FEP OCC 18awg. Should have this at the 32 Ohm Audio store as soon as I can peel it from my head later this week. Amazing piece of work Audeze, bravo!

That is an amazing job and is making me lust after that headphone / cable combo!!!  I wish that headphone manufacturers standardized the detachable cable plugs (such as mini-xlr) such that one could buy a really good cable once and use it with multiple headphones.  I'm saying this since I just purchased a really nice cable (DHC complement) for my HD800 and am sure it would be very suitable for the LCD-2 also, but alas the connectors won't work.

The hard-wiring on my balanced 800 was with Jena. I want that cable for my Audez'e!!!!

^^ I don't know if that is the JEna. I was informed that Ken's cable is the rarer 99.9999% pure OFCC. 
 
I do agree though, the Jena cables are stupendous!! At least the interconnects I have tried. Am going to get one of these for my LCD-2 as well..for the first time I am going to go balanced while am at it..but going balanced is a bit ways down the line.

Rarer is good! I have contact with Ken and am going to contract for a 6ft. balanced pair!

talk about overkill... 18awg? for a can cable? i think 24 would suffice, even a 28. it does look nice though.
