Newbie to HD and starting with my first Audeze - the LCD-2 ‘21. Absolutely stunning!

These are the rosewood eh? Or shedua? I see some photos where the rosewood looks like yours and others where the rosewood is more “red”

Ja, rosewood with gorgeous brown tones. My friends aren't into head-fi but they gasped when I opened the case.

Hello,
I bought the Classic at the end of 2020.
In 2021, I have mostly only listened to it.
I was always carried away by it again and again.
More than a year later, when I enter the media room, I instinctively reach for the Lcd 2C.
although I still have 3 other headphones.
It's really the case that if the sound doesn't bother you or cause you problems, these are the headphones you need and nothing else.
If it does, then the Aeon R/T is the one for variety.
The whole thing has gone so far that I am thinking about giving away the Fostex Tr x00.
And for whatever reason I'm still looking for the Lcd 2 with a wood finish, or I'll stick with the Lcd X at most.

Finally got the new leather pads installed! They're like pillows on my head, super comfortable! Installation ain't as easy as you'd like but it was worth the effort. Bass seems a bit better as well as it's a perfect seal around my ears. Slightly altered my EQ profile on the mids and its perfect. Highly recommend for anyone on the fence about it.

Which one is better regular LCD-2 or Classic? I listen to everything but love sub-bass.

I think you might prefer an LCD-2.2 if you can find one. The subbass has a bit of a rolloff on anything post-Fazor. Not badly, but it's not flat to 0 like the 2.2 was.Which one is better regular LCD-2 or Classic? I listen to everything but love sub-bass.
I bought some new pads for my LCD-2.2 at a local Audeze dealer. I`m in doubt that these are the new type, as they very much seems to have memory foam. I made a GIF and took pictures comparing them to Dekoni elite sheepskin. Can anyone confirm?
Dekoni`s are to the left and new Audeze`s are to the right.

This ^. Does the wrapping have a label that says "w-open cell foam"? This is what mine came with when I purchased it recently:Looks like memory foam to me

No, it`s says LCD2-EP-BL, so I guess my suspicions where right. I even had them check the order number from Audeze. The guy said they got them last year, but the store still have a couple of NOS Audeze Velour pads, so I guess they don`t sell that much pads..
Thanks for the help!

"This product has been discontinued"

Maybe @Audeze or @Mad Lust Envy can confirm?
Thank you @deafenears ! I filed a return, and now to figure out how to get the new updated ones...

I recently re-acquired a pair of LCD-2.2s in fantastic condition with the suspension headband. The LCD-2.2 was one of my first "proper" headphones and was interested to require it with my current setup and after having owned so many headphones since.

I think this set is a real winner!
A nice gentle downward slope from 900Hz, and staying relatively flat from 2kHz on. Not too many have those attributes!
This is my second set of LCD-2.2s I've owned. I also owned two LCD-Xs, three LCD-XCs, three LCD-3Fs, and an LCD-4. Ever since they went Fazor, Audeze cans have this honk around 1.5kHz and this chasm centred around 4.5kHz - even their non-Fazor stuff since then has that. Not here!

Hey All. Got a pair of LCD 2's recently and have noticed that my dumbo ears start slightly touching the fazors after about an hour of putting them on. Does anybody make pads that are a little thicker than the stocks and don't change the sound signature too much?
