Amazon.com selling these for 400$. Does anyone know the seller is good or not? Because the seller is new.

Don't buy Audeze LCD-2's from those "Just Launched" sellers in amazon.com. It's mostly a scam and you may have to unnecessarily work with Amazon to get your money back

Wait, so if the drivers fail after the 3 year warranty, and I pay 300$ for replacement, I get another 3 years warranty on them? I did not know that, and I like that information a lot. 300$ is still not a cheap replacement, but much better than being stuck with 1000$ broken headphone.

Yep

Watched the final episode of Luke Cage in bed last night, via:

Pixel XL > Chord Mojo > Little dot mkiii (w/ upgraded tubes) > Matrix Quattro > balanced cable > LCD 2.2 pre fazor.

Pretty unnecessarily complicated rig, but was very enjoyable nonetheless!

I think these stock photos are really misleading. Mine and other sheduas I have seen in this thread, look nothing like the photos they have on the website (which is a good thing IMO) and the bamboos tend to (according to photos on the internet) vary in color quite a bit as well.

Well, it turns out that I sent the headphones to audeze and they're not in warranty, and amazon can no longer return my money for the order. Audeze wants me to pay 400 dollars to get the driver repaired, **** you audeze. **** this stupid hobby. I don't have 400 dollars laying around, I had to cut a lot of corners to get these headphones. Audeze can ******* keep them, I'm done with this ********.

maybe you should start a GoFundMe. I'd be willing to chip in a few dollars, hopefully others would like to help as well.

Thanks for the help. Yes they're definitely fazored, which brings me to my next question: would the Calyx M be able to drive it properly or should I start looking out for amps to pair it with? It currently can drive them at normal to high listening volumes depending on track at 50% volume on high gain.

A lot of people think just because you can get the volume loud means they are driven properly which is completely false. You need an amp with lots of CURRENT so they are getting all of the juice they need to perform optimally. Your best bet is a used Lyr, the original one. It has excellent synergy with the LCD 2's (I have a 2016 version, Aluminum, for what it's worth). The only real difference is a gain switch on the back and you can roll a lot more types of tubes on the older version than the newer one.

I got mine for $250 bucks off Ebay and buyer protection will cover you for a good month so you will feel confident in the condition of the amp. Also, compare the serial numbers and always buy the one with the highest serial number so you know its as new as possible! Hope all that helps!

Didn't Audeze verify the warranty before you sent them in?  If they did then you need to contact BBB and let them know of this.

Well it's complicated. I probably didn't think through this whole process well enough. I though that I could file and A-Z claim on amazon, but I also sent out the headphones at the same time to audeze to get checked. Audeze did tell me that they weren't under warranty, but I was incredulous about them not being under warranty, because I saw a video with tyler at innerfidelity comparing the old model to the new one. It was a terrible, thoughtless buffoonery on my part. I sent them in and then amazon started telling me that I had a limited amount of time to send them in, then I realized the A-Z claim was expired.

So I contacted amazon and they sent me a message saying that the seller has sent me a prepayed postage to return the headphones. So I sent that to audeze and they are sending out the headphones and I already sent out the headphone cable, which didn't get shipped out to audeze because they said not to ship it. Now I'm just going to hope that all goes well when he receives the item and doesn't try to pull some tricky ****.
