unfortunately there isnt a Sony store in my city nor province. i'd have to take a 6-8hr drive to the next city to find one and then even then they may not have the wm1a for demo as its rare.

if i were to buy the SR15 it would be from a audio store on the other side of the country. but jason told me the repair policy for A&K is global from any official retailer and it gets sent and repaired to their facility in Germany.

if i were to buy the Sony, it would be from amazon canada. so yeah

thats rare, our best buy doesnt carry many sony audio gear. if they do, its just the wireless noise canceling headphones or tv.

i can pass by later this week downtown to check but i doubt it.

as for the SR15 we have a local dealer that does carry A&K products but they're on a distributor waiting list by A&K and may take time before they get stock, id rather just get it sooner than later if ive decided to get the SR15.

Hi recently I gotten denafrips Ares Dac connecting sr15 to the USB B. Had handshake compatibility issues.
I had return the unit and agent refunded me full.
Now am searching another pure dac. Which would u guy recommend. Presently I hv the chord mojo. Tks

The battery of SPKM takes 3 hours to be charged (I don't call this quick charge because my phone has the same capacity and it charges in 1,5 hours).

The SP1000M should quick charge in 1.5 - 2 hours. If it is taking longer, it could be a possible issue with the quick charger you are using, the cable or the player itself.

US and Canadian customers would be serviced out of our US offices. Germany is the authorized repair center for the EU.

Ok battery test started- will report back in 4 hours for the drain rate.

Ok battery after 4 hours 59% take note player had been running 10 minutes before I took first pic. Will check again in 4 hours.

Ok 8 hours now with 12% battery left- will use stopwatch function for rest of time.

At 1%

And just shy of 1 hour 2 minutes on the stopwatch for a grand total of 9hours and 2 minutes with a headphone load and volume at 91 and mixed files- more flac than anything. Not too bad.

Damn I wish I had a Best Buy like yours, the one where I'm at only has an A45 that's enclosed in a case, and you can't even plug in your own pair of cans.

I have that as well at home, if the cable is not 3.1 quickcharge enabled it wont quickcharge. the device detects the current draw from the device you're charging and feeds it the appropriate current in order to not damage the battery and keep a stable charge.

I have just quickly ran through sr 15, futura, 1000 copper and 1000 ss.

So, sr 15 is actually the loudest.

Sr 15 at 80
Futura 90
1000 c 90
1000 ss 90

Futura sounds the cleanest and best screen but worst grip. Slippery and sharp.

Copper is the warmest.

Sr 15 has harsh details and the most portable.

Stainless steel is detail with lots of control.
