@nicodem I have been testing the SR15 in DAC mode with Windows 10 the past few days and have been unable to replicate using a number of different Windows music players and a variety of files - FLAC, DSD, ALAC, ACC and MP3, all various bit rates. Can you please let me know what programs you are using that you notice the clicks and pops?

Actually any sound and any program. Even when you launch YouTube - you got pops and clicks for few seconds, then it stabilizes itself. Pretty sure this is a buffer thing.
Are there any drivers available? ASIO, anything else I should install?

The first thing i thought when using my sr15 for the first time was: i wish they made this thing a little bigger so it had a bigger battery and bigger screen. The tiny size makes it look way cheaper and toy-like than it actually is imo.

How much battery are you getting on a daily use?

I've never drained it completely. I've only used it at home untill now so i charge it regularly. But the battery drains a little faster than i'd like. I don't think i would get much more than 5, 6 hours. Nothing abnormal probably. Just wish they fitted a larger battery.

You using balanced and WiFi, and do you use your screen a lot? That’s what I get if I’m using balanced and WiFi a bit. Normally I get about 9-10 hours.

I’m using SE and I hardly use the screen. Those are estimated but probably pretty close. I might do a battery run down test. And standby draining is really good, very minimal, unless you have WiFi on and then it goes down fast even in standby.

Yes, mostly tidal and balanced. It's not that huge of a problem. Just a thought.

Yes I agree it could be better, but pretty normal under those circumstances. And the compactness is one thing I love about SR15.

It is light weight and sit in my hand perfectly. I like very much the tilting screen.

It is a huge problem to me because I travel often. In my view SR15 sounds better with balanced cable. At least I think I can hear the difference with my FiiO FH5. So why should I use the SE cable just to spare some battery? I would have never sacrificed sound quality. On a 12 hrs trip with two flight changes I felt very uneasy about the battery depletion rate. And I used my power bank too.

I certainly agree, in your case it's a problem. That's why i think for that price they could have included a bigger battery and screen. Not huge, but a bit bigger so it was more "best of both worlds". Now i feel like it was almost made too small, sacrificing battery life.
But i understand that for others the small size is just what they like about the sr15 too. I guess you just can't do right for everyone.

how is the SP1000M battery life.... it is small as well

I have both SP1000M and SR15. Surprisingly, the battery of SR15 charges quicker that SP1000M although it does not have quick charge. I also have the impression that battery drains faster in SP1000M, maybe because of bigger screen; but if you don't use the screen at all, SP1000M should last longer
