What IEMs you tried and at what volume level? What tracks?

This issue affects only SP2000. On my AK240SS or SP1000 everything is fine.

Can you give a description of sound differences between sp2000 and ak240SS, i would really appreciate it.
Thanks!

Sound of sp2000 u is now fantastic with the new firmware.
To my ears : For the sp1000ss + ampss, I realized that activating the led of the Amp without the leather case increase the sound quality : better bass impact and Soundstage.

I have the cooper too but you think the sound has changed/improved with the new FW? In your opinion how has the sound changed?

I had the AK240 (non SS), and loved it for years. Finally upgraded to the SP2000. How is it different? Same high quality sound, same sound "profile" in my opinion. But WAY more power, and the soundstage is opened up to a level that is just crazy compared to the AK240.

99% chance of having this issue on your device. It was spotted with 1.10, 1.16, 1.18 firmware. I tried Sony IER-Z1R, Dita XLS, QDC Anole VX with 3 different devices (2SS and 1CU) and this issue was evident. With Cayin N8 or SP1000 the same albums played without any audible drawbacks.

Is there a specific song I can download to make a direct 1-1 comparison with what you're hearing? I'd like to test this out.

Thanks.

@JasonNYC
Are you still claiming that the sound has not changed with the new firmware?

Maybe on the SP2000 Copper there is no difference. But on the SP2000SS the difference is heard.

So the change in sound from the new FW was positive for you ?

I also prefer the sound new firmware of my sp2k Cu.

Sound of sp2000 u is now fantastic with the new firmware.

SQ has definitely changed !!!!...AK Alex should not pretend they didn't make changes on sound via firmware....we are not idiot.......

"We do not change the sound profile on our players via firmware update as people purchase our players based on a sound profile. All sound tuning is done on the hardware level. This has always been our policy since we launched our first player 7+ years ago"

He did not claim that the sound does not change, only that they do not change the sound profile via firmware update. Maybe it is an unintentional change as i see it happening on other manufacturers dap's during firmware.
I can't say i'm enjoying the sound any less.

Jason, i would appreciate some acknowledgment in relation to the issue of accidental volume control increase and subsequent risk of injury, hearing damage. Consider discussing the implementing of a way for users to set a maximum allowable volume limit.
Thank you
