I have tried ak kann cube from dealer's shop. I think it shared same tonality as SE100 but a little warmer than SE100.
So would you say it has better sound? If so by how much?

I think it is side-way. Just a little different tone. Depend on preference. But I agree on output very big thrust.

wonder how it would drive some cans that like power as Hifiman 1000 V2 or an LCD4

Amp output for the A&K Kann Cube is 12vrms vs Woo Audio WA11 at 30 ohms into 1.2 watts. Which one got more power? Thanks for answering.

Kann more.power

The announcement got me excited as I was hoping for a potential "upgrade" from the WM1A. Brick memes aside I quite find the form factor interesting (and transportable) enough. Unfortunately, the lack of 4.4mm really is a bummer.

Everyone's talking about 4.4mm balanced output but I think dual 3.5mm balanced output is a great option too. Think about dual 3.5mm balanced output on Pono and PHA-3.
They sound amazing... probably the most detailed I've ever heard. and I think Sony's dual 3.5mm balanced MMCX cable is great.
I hope AK guys will do dual 3.5mm balanced on at least one unit.

Killing the second memory card on this was a mistake. I bought the v1 as a transport for this reason. If i wanted a good dac w/one card slot, there are quite a few choices from a&k already. Bad choice instead of updating the current Kann. If chord releases the 2go I could be persuaded to go in that direction as long as it ships w/2 slots and abandon the a&k brand as a result. This comment is just for the guys who read this from a&k so they know.

Honestly I'm hoping for a good upgrade to the 1A as well. Not that I have one, but from the standpoint of a ZX300 user the only logical upgrade in the Sony lineup is the 1Z as the 1A is too similar but that's $2000 more expensive. Hopefully the next DAPs in the WM series will greatly improve on the 1A and 1Z.

To be honest I don't think AK even needs to get rid of 2.5mm, they could include both connectors and everyone will be happy.
Yup, I was thinking this too but AK would probably have charged an additional $200 markup...lol
