  I am having trouble connecting the amp to the ak380, ak380 notification shows "connecting to amp", the triangle light on the amp doesn't light up, any clues?
Protective plastic wrap was removed.

Push "AMP" in the drop-down menu, then the activation is complete.

Finally heard back from iRiver and they confirm that with firmware version 1.14 there is a known bug when using gapless and 24/352 files. When moving to next track the sound does not play. This only happens using gapless playback. iRiver support says that this will be fixed in an upcoming patch. Also, Crutchfield support was able to reproduce the bug and confirm my initial findings.

What's your firmware version? I think you'd have to have the 3rd update for he amp to work.

Sorry if this is a silly question but what use is the 'Lyrics' icon.  It's always empty when I press and I have no idea whether this would be filled automatically by some music files or whether it is something I would have to do manually.  Grateful if someone could explain.  I should say that the vast majority of tracks on my 380 are copied across from my iTunes rips (ALAC).  Thanks.

Lyrics can be added in the ID3 tags, which is where the player would retrieve them for display.
 
If the lyrics were not added when the file was created, a third party program may be necessary to edit the tags.

never used it myself and rather save the space it could take on thousands of songs but have on occasion when listening to song really wondered what the hell they just said and would be useful!  Normally just google on phone......

Did anyone notice this? When you turn on the EQ setting, the impact of bass automatically becomes weaker? even when I add in the volume of the pre-gain (basically similar volume with eq on or off).
 
 
Also anyone wish to share the sound difference that PRO EQ setting makes?

Personally I think with the EQ off sounds the best for me.Its much a wider soundstage and deeper Bass & better Highs. The EQ setting is a nice setup just too much time to do for me and yes pro EQ dosent make a difference for me either.I Just cant seem to find a EQ setting to my liking.
