Hi guys, I have not been here for like 7 months, i was wondering are the dt990 600 ohm with WA3 still a good buy?
I thought of buying them last time, and now i have the money.
I already have a audio gd nfb3 dac.
Or are there any other amp/headset that outperforms them with the same sound signature?

Listen mostly to DnB and other electronic music.
thanks.

Hey mate,

I own a set of Beyerdynamic DT 990's (250 ohm, not sure how similar to the 600 ohm they are) and loved them, used them until they eventually broke on me. Definitely worth the money. As you can see by my sig, I mostly listen to EDM so our tastes aren't too dis-similar.

They're pretty solid across the spectrum, mid's can sound a little recessed if not driven properly and bass is very good but not amazing (like my PRO 900's

). They probably have a warmer signature with a slight emphasis on bass.

I can't really comment on your amp/DAC, mine were driven from my Xonar sound card (which did a fine job anyway).

DT990/600 and WA3 of course still is recommended.
I myself use it with the 339, just use a good OTL amp for these headphones and they'll sound great :)
