If you’re noticing neutron perform a scan on startup, go to Neutron’s Settings-> Media Library-> Sources and disable each LED/Button like so:
First of all, thank you very much for the reply.

Ok, i was thinking that if it scans all folders on startup and then displays the artworks, if you disable the artworks, it will not search for them at all. So that will eliminate this scan on startup.
Now i see if you disable the source refresh in media library settings, you can for example stop it from refreshing anything at all. Thank you for that.

If you want album art to not be shown from folder view, from your library long press on the folders view and you’ll see:
This was very important, i think this is what fixed the whole thing.

Go ahead and deselect Album Artwork LED/Button.
For now really works, i thank you very much once again.
I will check tonight more thoroughly if everything is completely fine. But for now looks so.

I discovered to my cost (so i thought at the time), that by moving all my Neutron data to my internal sd card (using a phone), if you re-install Neutron, it only reads saved data from the device, not add-on storage. So in my case, it created all-new default saved files, and i thought mine was lost. My work around was to find my saved presets file, delete the newly formed one, and move my preset file to it's place on the device. Then i unistalled and reinstalled Neutron and hey presto, my EQ presets were back. Everytime you install Neutron on a new device, it creates its own default files. So you need a copy of your eq preset file, and replace the newly created file with it. Your file should look something like this:

If anyone has an easier way, im all ears.

Same applies to the file "streaming.xml" which contains all your webradio presets, just save or backup and transfer back to the new NeutronMP. You can also edit on your PC these files and transfer back and share to all your other phones. Looks like this:

Hello I have a strange problem with one album, Roisin Machine from Roisin Murphy, bought on her official shop in flac. The date in metadata is correct (2020) but Neutron does not show it in 2020 listing (and so it’s not showed correctly in by date order in listings). It’s the only album with this problem and other software does not meet this problem.

Get a copy of MP3 tag and rewrite the meta-data, it will fix the problem. MP3 Tag is free by the way.

I use JRiver Media to manage metas but I will try MP3 tag to see if it fixes that. Thanks.
Very sparingly I've had this similar issue, and Mp3tag usually fixes it. But first, delete the misbehaving track and subsequently rescan your storage in Neutron once it is removed. That way when you scan it back in, Neutron recognizes it as a new entry and doesn't keep any borked info in the database.

MP3 Tags fixed the problem. Thanks a lot for the suggestion.

You're welcome. JRiver is good, but it has issues with tagging (I have used JRiver for years so I have first hand experience).

Hello, new (dumb) question: I deleted an album accidentally in Neutron’s library. Files are still there but how to re-index the album?

Rescan your sources including the folder where album files are.
