Finally got the opportunity to sit down and have a go at each one of the three filters. Simply put, as far as I'm concerned, AKG achieved what Phonak had only hoped to achieve with the PFE232. With the PFE232, when moving from the grey filters, to the black/green, there were far too many compromises made in one or more area of the spectrum. With the PFE232's green (bass) filters, for instance, which effectively boosts the low end, the mids begin to sound far too veiled, and the high much too rolled off, rendering the green filters useless all together, for my intents and purposes. The K3003, however, makes far less compromises when moving from one filter to the next, though there certainly are compromises made here as well, noticeably so with the K3003's bass boost filter. In that sense, I feel that the K3003 is MUCH more practical in terms of offering a true, 3-in-1 experience, where under certain circumstances, I could see myself switching between the 3 filters.
To fellow K3003 owners, am I alone in thinking that the K3003 really does offer a practical 3-in-1 approach, or do you find the bass/high boost filters impractical, for your intents and purposes, and exclusively use the reference filter?
