Thanks.
Out of warranty.
You mean to put a drop INSIDE the right side? What washing liquid?

Fill cup with warm water, put drop of dishwashing liquid in cup - stir to disperse. Unscrew the filter from the K3003. Place filter (only) in cup, swirl and leave for a minute or two. Rinse filter. Leave to dry. Rescrew filter to K3003. Listen to see if problem still exists.

The other approach is to first try the other filters and see if the problem persists from filter to filter.

regards,

Giles

Im gonna sell my k3003. The hifiman Re2000 is the next step. Closest ive heard to rival the kse 1500.

Price kind of similar to KSE1500 as well. Big jump compare to current pricing of the K3003. On another note, I just recently switched to K3003i from Westone W40. It's like a night and day switch. I was never a huge fan of the warm sound of the W40 and going to K3003i revealed some much more details in everything and the bass is tighter and stronger than W40.

Hello, are the AKG K3003 available anywhere in San Francisco for demo?  I will be there on Thursday.

Thanks

Riley

funny thing was I was at the Harmon Kardon store in New York last month and I A/B'd my knockoffs with the real ones, and my counterfeits were maybe 90% of the SQ of the real ones. Indeed they were on par with the N90Q, which I spent perhaps 45 minutes with across two visits. N90Q was good, but not good enough for the price. I might spend half its MSRP, but def not $1500.

hmm, the knock off is 90% close to the real thing..I am kind of worried, how can we be sure the one we have is the real deal instead of knock offs.I did read through some of the posts before from packaging to minor difference but hoping there's a for sure tell tale sign from just looking at it to be able to tell the difference.

I have an original pair and the counterfeit pair. No clear way to tell the difference from looking at them and takes knowledge of the originals to tell the audio difference. There is a big difference but the counterfeit pair sound not bad at all....

I'm sure it's complicated by there not being one single counterfeit K3003, or at any rate, no one level of quality control. I'm sure some are abysmal; I know from my own unit that some approach the K3003 in SQ. A lot depends on the size of the silicone tip.
