I'm having a little trouble doing the conversion. Is that about $500 USD?  If so, you don't need to spend that much money.

The Burson is way too much money for the d2000. Consider:

Fiio e17

The denon's just don't need that much to sound good. Top of the line choice for d2000...

Schitt Asgard
Bifrost w/usb

They just won't sound much if any better than this combo. They make a very nice aluminum stack stack also!!

The v200 is great!! It's just a lot more than you need for the d2000. If you plan to upgrade your headphones in the future and don't want to have to replace the amp, then the v200 is a really good choice.

But...the best pairing for the money with your current headphones is the Asgard and Bifrost.

Op, which kind of noise? i've used the D and the Ds version and both are dead silent.
Some people hear a HUM noise because they are using unshielded interconnects.

Problem is with low impedende headphones 16/150 ohm

Sell D2000- Buy D7000 and get a New Burson or Yulong D100II or Violectric V200 or if you want tubes Woo Audio WA6 (not sure if SE), those are all the ones that entered my list when I did my research.

they are right, Burson is overkill for D2000.

I'm considering the Burson mostly because I intend to get the Senn 650s in the near future. Right now my main headphones are the Denon 2000. I realize that the Burson is overkill for them but can I assume the denons will sound the best they can? Basically I'm asking will the Burson work with the Senn 650s AND the Denons well? Way way down the road I intend to get AKG 702s and the Denon 7000's and I want this to be my only amp purchase which is why I'm considering the Burson already.
