I'm in need of a mic for my phone but still want to use my quads. Do any of you know where I could find a westone cable with a mic? I looked into the EPICS MIC cable, but apparently the microphone on it lets in a lot of BG noise and is pure crap. Does anyone make custom cables with mics?

Sign me up as a x2 on this.

Ahhh crap, went to get impressions and was told I should get my ears cleaned first... LOL

What kind of an audiologist is that? Can't they do it right then and there? I mean we're not talking about the city dumpster here :) They can do both cleaning and then the impressions on the same day can't they?

Some audiologists want you to visit and Ear Nose Throat doctor to get them cleaned.

Really? My audiologist offered me free cleaning whenever I needed after I got my impressions done.

Just get your ears cleaned. It's something worth doing. You dont want that ear wax on the impression. It'll get stuck and cause a bad impression if not cleaned out.

Go to the drug store and get yourself some DeBrox, or whatever it's called.  Basically expensive hydrogen peroxide in a dropper bottle to soften the wax, and a rubber squeeze bulb to flush each ear.  I use it every couple months.  I also fill and empty each ear about 3 times when I take a shower, and then use a q-tip to dry.  My ears are always pretty clean with this routine.
