I am using the sureseal tips now. I like the medical grade silicon but it seats too low without some adaptation. I am trying to fix it now.

For now my sillicone tip of choice is the Audio-Technica Solid Bass (ER-CK50M).
Covers the stem completely.

Can anyone that has upgraded from a V6-S to an A6 comment on the sound differences?

Also, when changing a V6-S into an A6 is the tuning adjusted to compensate for the differences the ADEL modules make to the sound?

Adding to the above post. If I don't fully insert the tips initially, they end up being fully inserted anyway when I put the IEMs in my ears. I've been trying to find the special Sony tips that have additional length to them.

select LL (large long).

i only insert the tips a little more than half a way down and they sit there without moving.

i'm ususally a med user, but the ML size can only be found in the set that comes with the ex1000.

I got the U12 few days back. Sold the K10U (acrylic) after that.

So which one of your cables are you using with A3?  Also, have you tried other 64 Audio models, like U6 or U12 with your different cables to see which one pairs up better?

In the photo, it is our Exo series with gold plated copper wires. If using the B1 modules on the A3, shielded cables work well to bring back up the low end.

Hello Adel folks,

I am looking to upgrade from my Weston 4Rs. Would going with an A6 or even an A8 be considered a considerable upgrade from my 4Rs? I don't want to make an upgrade to something similar, I'm looking for something substantial.

I like Westone earphones - I've owned both of these, plus the W30, W40 and W60. (Side note: I think the W30 is the best of the bunch.)

I own the V6-S (which 64 Ears have now replaced with the A6 / U6). I can tell you that you would be in for a very different listening experience. You could both expect more detail throughout the entire frequency range, and a more 'open' sound. Add a good DAC/Amp like something from Chord, and you would also start to experience a 3D listening sphere.

Westone IEMs are particularly comfy to wear. You might want to try other universals before jumping in. I recommend 64 Audio's customs - my A12s are snug indeed.
