For the price I would have to pay here for some STAX I would just get myself some HE-500
I'm also super not a fan of thin sounding headphones. Lukewarm and musical is where it's at! At least for me.
Sure, but why are all STAX owners gathering in this thread?
Do STAX headphones make you like anime or do anime make you like STAX headphones?
It's too hard to describe what STAX sounds like, it's something you'll have to demo when you get the chance, but unfortunately, that's pretty hard because they're uncommon. You'll either love it or hate it, it will either sound thin and lifeless, or, magical and effortless to you, depending on how your brain is wired up.
Think of them like the rangefinder cameras of the headphone world, they just offer a different experience and a different sound, so they're not necessarily 'better' compared to traditional headphones.
Because of the weak JPY, I guess they're becoming easier and easier to justify, that's why some members of this thread have been jumping on the bandwagon.
The SR-007 is a reaaaallyyyy good headphone for crappily mastered stuff, like anime music.
Personally I am not interested in current VR solutions at all, something like NerveGear is definitely the way to go. Its just meaningless to move real body in real space to do something in the VR...
Do you think actual VR will ever be possible? Maybe not in our lifetimes, eh?
I like to think of Oculus Rift as a super fancy monitor setup to help with immersion, my expectations aren't too high so I hope I'll be blown away. I'm shortsighted, so hopefully that won't be too much of a problem....
Also, you have
lol I thought the one is Alice but the pink one keep make me thinking milky holmes...
I think it's because of her hat.
