I recently got some new 600 ohm DT-990's from B&H. They sound great, but when I even barely twist my ear cups, it makes a clicking sound near the cup adjustment area. They are also quite hard to adjust. Am I doing something wrong? I don't want to end up breaking them within their first week, hahaha.

On the box it says that all the parts are easily replaceable, but there are no instructions included or on the Beyerdynamic website that explain how to disassemble it.  Can anyone tell me how or link any tutorials?  Also, what are those metal tabs on the headband? Strain-relief?
