Hello! I wonder if the AKG K242 HD is any good for rock. My soundcard is an Udac2.

Has anyone heard the AKG K242HD. If so what kind of sound signature does it have. How is the bass, mids, treble, soundstage etc. Are they easy to drive? Debating between this and the AD900. Thanks.

Well i just bought a k242HD and I'm very impressed by the quality of the sound, build quality and comfort dont match my D2k.   And i had a bright idea, let me replace the pads on the K242 so i was looking to see if the akg k70x pads will fit, and couldnt find any conclusive answers.  ...

I just picked up an Apogee Duet 2.  It is a cool piece of kit, and it pairs very nicely with my DT130.  There are 2 issue that keep the pairing from being excellent:   1) output impedance of the duet 2 is about 35 ohm.  Using the 8x rule, somewhere around 250 to 300 ohm would be about right...
