Noble Audio - the Wizard returns!
Would you say, that they are even harder to get on the nozzles than the blue silicon tips? I am not sure my temper can handle that.- Rappo

Noble Audio - the Wizard returns!
I am looking forward to hear what you think of the complys. I have considered giving them a try, but i was unsure of which ones that would fit on the N4 nozzles. Let us hope that the 400s is the right answer. That might just do the trick. I need to give that cable a try anytime soon. ...- Rappo

Noble Audio - the Wizard returns!
I have been doing some tip-rolling on my N4, and i am struggling to find a pair that gives me a perfect and consistent seal. My favorites until now are the largest foam tips and the blue medium silicons. I think that my problem might be insertion depth, by which i mean that i am not able to get...- Rappo

What i meant to say was, that the N4 is A LOT more forgiving and less sibilant than the Tzar350. :-)- Rappo

Noble Audio - the Wizard returns!
It's been a while since i've auditioned the 4.Ai, but i believe that the N4 sounds quite different. They may share the same components, but as John mentioned they differ in the tuning, and that makes a lot of difference. The 4.Ai got that dip around the 5k frequency range, which makes them sound...- Rappo

He better not sell them! Well, at least not before i have had the opportunity to listen to them again, and compare them to my N4. :-P- Rappo

iBasso DX100:24 bit for bit, PG 1> Reviews & Impressions, Downloads, VIDEO, NEW Firmware 1.4.2.
I agree, but I do find, that a successor to the DX100, as Ibasso's next DAP release (after DX90) is not neccesary unrealistic. Of course I wouldn't know, but theres always hope. If they deside to do so, i hope it will have at least 128GB of internal storage and a balanced HO, along with all...- Rappo

Noble Audio - the Wizard returns!
Maybe I should give the B2s another listen anytime soon, just to be sure that what i just stated, is really the case. I pretty much agree with your impressions of the N4, and to be honest I haven't been listening to any of my other headphones, since they arrived about a week ago. But then again...- Rappo

Noble Audio - the Wizard returns!
I own both the N4 and the B2, and while i would not go as far as calling the N4 unforgiven, i do find it less forgiving than the B2. They are both very detailed in have those clear sparkling highs, but B2 lacks a bit in the midrange compared to N4, and sometimes, i do find that the N4 can be a...- Rappo

The iBasso DX50 Thread - Latest firmware: 1.9.5 - June 30, 2016
Well, that sounds like a pretty straight forward mod. At least for all the DIY'ers... Unfortunately i am not one of them, but thanks for the explanation. Good to know that it is possible to balance them, if i should someday buy a pair.- Rappo

The iBasso DX50 Thread - Latest firmware: 1.9.5 - June 30, 2016
With the risk of going i little offtopic. Did you say someting about balancing the HP50s? I auditioned the HP50s a couple of months ago, and while i do remember that they had jack-connectors in both sides, i just assumed that you could use either of the cups to connect your cable to. How...- Rappo

Thanks for clearing that out OK-Guy! That was quite what i had expected. I have no doubts that The Wizard and the rest of the Noble team has put a lot of efforts into this, and i am grateful for that. I am especially grateful for the N4. I recall having a conversation with Sorensiim about...- Rappo

Noble Audio - the Wizard returns!
As i recall it, the Heir 5.0 was one of the later, if not the last of the designs he did under the Heir brand. Maybe he just didn't find it neccesary to make further improvements to the design? I must admit i am a little curious too though.- Rappo

Yay, now we are totally ready to go shopping for head-fi on amazon.fr. The Amperior is indeed tempting, but I just bought a pair Noble 4 universals, so I don't really need them. And also, i do already have the old hd25-1 mkIIs. :-)- Rappo

The Astell & Kern AK240
$2400!? That's ridiculous! I can't keep wondering what Ibasso could come up with at that price point though. And also, the DX100 is not exactly what i would call beautiful, but this thing... I mean... damn!- Rappo

DX90. 2X Sabre,1st page: Downloads, info&inst. . ! Lurker0 FW Mod link 1st page !!. .NEW FW! 2.3.0 . . . . .
Back om december 2012 when i bought my DX100, it was after several months of consideration. I found the pricetag to be completely mental, and at that price it really had to be very, very good. Luckily it was. It is by a far margin the best investment i have ever made in terms of audio gear. ...- Rappo
