I haven't had much time with the unit but have tried it with the: Meze Elite ZMF Caldera Sony MDR Z1R Spirit Valkyria I found the Meze Elite had the best synergy with the 320max. This surprised me because usually the Valkyria outshines all the others but the Elites are pure magic with the 320max.

What is the sound signature of the ROHM DAC's? If the Sony wm1zm2 is warm and lush and the A&K SP3000 is detailed and reference, how would you describe the ROHM?

Thanks all for your advice on the pad swap. Mine came with the leather and the "Lambskin Thick Caldera (warmer)" so it looks like I'll need to purchase the suede and cowhide pads to give them a try.
