Flashlight-Fi (LED & Conventional)
2 x 18650 are even better! More runtime than primary CR123A's and they are rechargeable as well. I just got the M40C in the mail today and all I have to say is...wow. I've owned some of the higher-end Surefires, RA/HDS, and custom lights, but the machining and design of this light is just...- shomie911

Flashlight-Fi (LED & Conventional)
I was considering the M30R, but the M40C has nearly the same output and throw with the addition of secondary LEDs, while being only slightly larger. Better battery life as well. The M40C is actually going to be released in an XM-L version pretty soon, but they may be getting rid of the...- shomie911

Runs on 4 x CR123A or 2 x 18650...- shomie911

After a one year hiatus, I'm back on Head-Fi
Thanks! I stumbled across some of my pictures from when CanJam came down to Florida and all the upgrade urges came back. I've gotta get me a Stax system.- shomie911

[REVIEW] Head-Direct RE0 - a new contender for the best IEM

Is the foam-removal mod recommended for best sound quality or is it best to just leave it in?- shomie911

Will Apple itouch work with no amp and Senn HD-25 II?
Of course it will work, an amp is only to get a little more sound quality from your portable rig. Almost all headphones work fine without an amp, they just aren't living up to their full potential.- shomie911

Most Comfortable Headphones?
Beyerdynamic DT880's are pretty much my favorite headphones in terms of comfort and sound quality. I've had all day listening sessions and never felt the need to take them off due to discomfort or heat issues, unlike my RS-2's, which sound great, but require comfort breaks every once in a while.- shomie911

That would be a custom made, titanium, Spy 007. Thats upwards of $1000 of flashlight awesomeness. Unfortunately it does not have the ability to double as a whiskey flask.- shomie911

Grado RS2, Beyer DT880 or??
Get the RS-2. They sound great with relatively little power compared to the DT-880's which have particularly bad siblilance, unless matched with a good tube amp to tame the treble.- shomie911

moded my RS2 a little... I think they look better.
The RS-2's really deserve a metal yoke. Looks great, now I want a brass yoke instead of my plastic one.- shomie911

Best "ultimate" headphones for rock/heavy metal
The Grado HP-1000's are pretty much the ultimate rock headphones when driven correctly. But the RS-2's are pretty damn good for the price. I love em.- shomie911
