Cloud Storage, Music Collections, and 4G-Enabled Portable Sources: POLL

Hello everyone,   Haven't been around in a while; a lot has changed for the better around here, community is bigger, the new user interface is really nice.   This poll is a question I've been thinking about a lot:   Will cloud storage, with ascending average download and upload...

    Flashlight-Fi (LED & Conventional)

2 x 18650 are even better! More runtime than primary CR123A's and they are rechargeable as well. I just got the M40C in the mail today and all I have to say is...wow. I've owned some of the higher-end Surefires, RA/HDS, and custom lights, but the machining and design of this light is just...

    Flashlight-Fi (LED & Conventional)

I was considering the M30R, but the M40C has nearly the same output and throw with the addition of secondary LEDs, while being only slightly larger. Better battery life as well. The M40C is actually going to be released in an XM-L version pretty soon, but they may be getting rid of the...

    Flashlight-Fi (LED & Conventional)

Ordered a Sunwayman M40C for work, should be arriving tomorrow. I'll post my impressions. 5 modes, Low (40 lumens) for 40 hours, medium (165 lumens) for 10 hours, high (630 lumens) for 2 hours, blue (9 lumens) for 10 hours, and red (12 lumens) for 10 hours. Runs on 4 x CR123A or 2 x 18650...

    Flashlight-Fi (LED & Conventional)

Quote:   Tactical pens are cool looking, but depending on one for self-defense is ill-advised. You're better off taking self-defense classes instead. That said, I've heard good things about the Embassy Pens.   Thanks for the compliment on my gear! My wallet hates me between all...

After a one year hiatus, I'm back on Head-Fi

Thanks!   I stumbled across some of my pictures from when CanJam came down to Florida and all the upgrade urges came back. I've gotta get me a Stax system.

[REVIEW] Head-Direct RE0 - a new contender for the best IEM

    Oh no..not another one...

Those headphones are disgusting. They look like toys.

[REVIEW] Head-Direct RE0 - a new contender for the best IEM

Is the foam-removal mod recommended for best sound quality or is it best to just leave it in?

Will Apple itouch work with no amp and Senn HD-25 II?

Of course it will work, an amp is only to get a little more sound quality from your portable rig. Almost all headphones work fine without an amp, they just aren't living up to their full potential.

    "Rock Out" Cans

The Grado RS-2's make anything rock or metal sound amazing.

I love hip-hop and I love hearing my 2 Alpines bump in my SUV

You're not going to find headphones that replicate the sound of car subwoofers. It's just not going to happen.

    Most Comfortable Headphones?

Beyerdynamic DT880's are pretty much my favorite headphones in terms of comfort and sound quality. I've had all day listening sessions and never felt the need to take them off due to discomfort or heat issues, unlike my RS-2's, which sound great, but require comfort breaks every once in a while.

    Flashlight-Fi (LED & Conventional)

That would be a custom made, titanium, Spy 007. Thats upwards of $1000 of flashlight awesomeness. Unfortunately it does not have the ability to double as a whiskey flask.

    Grado RS2, Beyer DT880 or??

Get the RS-2. They sound great with relatively little power compared to the DT-880's which have particularly bad siblilance, unless matched with a good tube amp to tame the treble.
  23. shomie911

moded my RS2 a little... I think they look better.

The RS-2's really deserve a metal yoke. Looks great, now I want a brass yoke instead of my plastic one.

Best "ultimate" headphones for rock/heavy metal

The Grado HP-1000's are pretty much the ultimate rock headphones when driven correctly. But the RS-2's are pretty damn good for the price. I love em.
