@euler, if you're from the boston area you should try going to the audio lab in the garage in harvard square, he sells mostly stereo components, but he has a decent selection of headphones (atleast he did when last i was there), grado, akg, sennheiser, etc.- cyrian

Sennheiser HD-555 for big heads?
my hd555's clamed a bit for the first little while i used them but they very quickly became incredibly comfy, now i wear them nearly all the time when i'm in my room and feel no discomfort. i have a 7 5/8ish hat size as well, i think it may actually be bigger than that.- cyrian

There's Something About Ultrasone…
750's have long burn in i hear, and i hear pink noise would be a faster burn in. how long of a burn in on the prolines should i do with pink noise.- cyrian

the d2 is quite a popular player, its flash based and it has pretty good sound quality, its also way less expencive than the imod... also the imod REQUIRES an amp, but if you're getting one no matter what, or you already have one that doesnt really matter. i suggest d2 or imod. welcome to...- cyrian

ipod pulled way ahead? wow... i like the feel of the zune better. after the itunes thing where apple will take the drm off your music, i'm sure microsoft will follow suit eventually. DRM FTL :-( also, zune line out may be on the way, just need to figure out that stupid thing to activate...- cyrian

so 22 awg stranded? is 20 too big? also, for solder, a good diameter? is silver bearing good? do i want rosin core solder or just solid silver bearing?- cyrian
