When I was looking at it it definitely seems like the new steel band is a bit less thick/springy than the previous bands. I noticed someone else echo this finding in another thread so I took their advice to swap the bands.

Update on the crescent strap after using it for around a week: On my Auteur it's PERFECT, I didn't have any issues with fit and everything was great On my Verite Closed it was great, it felt like the headphones were floating on my head; however, I was missing a lot of clamping force, so I bent...

In retrospect, I think I may have overthought this, I just bent it tighter anyway and it's more comfy :sweat_smile:

Okay so I've installed both of my crescent straps onto my VC and Auteur and I really love how it feels on the Auteur! However, I feel like I've lost a bit of clamp with the VC (probably due to me using universe pads which have less padding on the back than the Auteur pads), is it safe to bend...

Indeed, I can definitely vouch for the JDS amps being nice, I also use my VC with a micro idsd Signature and it sounds really nice on that, especially with the Hybrid Auteur pads and the bass boost toggle on for some songs. Speaking of that amp, my sister's BF wanted to hear my VC a few days...

Holy moly for those who found that their Verite Closed may not fit your small noggin well, definitely try the suede strap. I just swapped mine from the leather strap and it fit so much better I could even move the gimbals up one or two notches on the rods! I originally had them all the way in...
