same story for VAT in italy, even for the gk10 sadly. GK10 and GK80 are a quite different listening experience, GK80 is less 'impactful' but more clear and definite, i'm not yet as comfortable as with the GK10 but the process is still going on.

after another night of burn-in i am getting a very spacious yet mid-centric sound, bass is definetly coming but is still quite recessed, loose and uncontrolled, i am very confident that this will change for the better as burn-in proceeds. even the response to v4a is getting better and better...

GK10 can be excellent for the price, more experienced people than me say they give you a glimpse of how a totl iem sounds for less than 50$, i can say that they are a fantastic improvement over the zax, silky smooth and balanced yet revealing, dynamic, airy and detailed yet powerful and punchy...

so you received only the gk10 and not the full package? it sounds logical... in my full package there was an additional set of tips with wider bore as many users said it was better. extremely nice from geek people indeed.

did you receive the wide bore silicone tips set? for me they're a very good set of tips. the care for customers reviews about the old stock cable has been one of the key factor for me to jump on the train and now the new tips set...

nope, i feel that my set is working exactly as intended by the geeks, so i guess that the vent hole is already free. After the burning process, the sound has noticeably changed as reported by many users, bass has become tighter and treble has tamed down, i'm going to try again the stock silver...

yup, some crackling are in the recording and youtube streaming quality is not good, but with zax distortions are much stronger and longer, unfortunately i haven't been able to find better quality files (probably there are none, it was a small place and audience after all). there are another...

the way GK10 can deal with these notes is unreal, zax simply can't reach these heights, depths and textures, even the recording couldn't cope with her voice, they were totally unprepared for such a heavenly performance and a few times becomes crackling.

even with only few hours of listening i'm already in love, they sound so different from zax, a totally superior level in every aspect. i'll wait to burn them in and adjust my brain and ears to them then will post some newbie impression

my apologies for have not been detailed enough, i'm using my axon7 mini phone with viper4android, silver/copper cable, wide bore silicone tips (freely included in penon's package) and the output gain i've increased is viper's gain control filter. i'm too unexperienced to say if that's perfect...

OOTB i got much better results by increasing output gain rather then trying to eq, they are power hungry, once properly fed the drivers shine without eq. Still burning them in and adjusting my brain, but so far so very good, love them.
