Etymotic er4p's or UE triple fi.10's or W2's?
I have both. As others have stated, the TF's have a little more bass. You can't go wrong with either, and either will benefit with an amp. The ER's insert much deeper into the ear, and isolate better, but could be uncomfortable. Microphonics are also worse as a result. I use the clip which helps...- elmohut

TripleFi.10s didn't do it for me, going cheaper
I go the "cheap route" with mine. I bought a 4g Clip and double side taped a Fiio amp to the back of it. I even removed the clip to narrow it up a little more. It sounds better than playing the same music through my Cowon D2. I am certainly not dissapointed. OP, you won't have any trouble...- elmohut

Need some in-ear phones for Motorcycling
I have had the best luck with Etymotic ER6i. Use the tips that you can get the furthest into your ear. The triple flange silicone tips work fine for me. ER4's stick out of your ear too far.- elmohut

Another question for gun owners: One handgun to rule them all
Only one handgun? 6 inch .357 and a reloader. Usable for just about anything, including small game(redued loads), long range target shooting, deer sized game, home defense. If bear is a possibility, go with .44.- elmohut

What software ripper/manager for an impatient neophyte?
If she's never had an MP3 player, and I'm assuming she's using the stock buds, I'll also assume she's not an audiophile. In this case Windows Media Player will be fine, and will not introduce the "hassle" of installing and learning additional software.- elmohut

Best tips to listen with ER6i with?
The tri flanges (which are silicone) work fine for me. You have to have a good seal though. Some prefer more bass than the Ety's deliver. I think they are great, especially if you can get the $50 deal on them.- elmohut
