What to do against loud snoring?
Obstructive sleep apnea has only really been recognized and studied for the past 15 years or so. This is a widespread and often undiagnosed condition, the most common presentation being snoring (which the snorer might not even be aware of). The Dx is made by a sleep study in a sleep lab...- Musiq

Anyone have a manual for the Singlepower MPX3 Slam?
It explains why SP told me that they don't have any manuals at this time. I wrongly assumed that they were out of them, but I guess they never even printed them. Thanks for the info.- Musiq

Anyone have a manual for the Singlepower MPX3 Slam?
A photocopy would do. I just bought a used amp without the manual, and SP says they don't have any.- Musiq

2nd-hand iMac G4 or Mac Mini?
Mac Mini is OK if you're just going to use it for music, but if you're replacing your desktop PC and you do other things with it, an Intel iMac would be the way to go.- Musiq

Talking to stubborn parents about choosing colleges
That's what college is about. But you have to be happy with your choice...transferring isn't that easy. I had a free ride at Rutgers and NYU, but wanted to get as far away from home as possible, so I chose Hobart, 350 miles away with minimal scholarship. It was the farthest, but probably...- Musiq

What is this song!?!!?
Good thought, but it's not from Carmina Burana, but sounds just like it. I would suspect that it is either another one from Orff (Catulli Carmina or the other one) or a very clever composition in his style. -

Wood scratch treatments
I use flat black Rustoleum spray paint over wood and stone to make attractive bases for my African art pieces. Do it outdoors, light layers, to avoid drip marks. If you want to fill and sand first, you can, but the paint just might obscure the defect from all but the closest inspection- Musiq

what is your favorite shoes???
Where in Florida are you? We've been in Massachusetts for almost 3 years (seemed like a good idea at the time) and are ready to move someplace warm where barefoot and flip-flops are less painful. (I, too, am retired, but have a 12 year old who needs nearby equestrian facilities) PM me- Musiq

Another English Grammar Question
The contraction for "are not" is usually used in questions like: "Aren't I going with you?" However, "am" is the proper be-verb to be used with the pronoun "I": "I am going with you." The technically ungrammatical usage of "aren't" in questions where "I" is the subject can be considered a...- Musiq

20' headphone cables or 20' interconnects?
Of course, that raises the question...Is the relative lack of degradation in balanced cables the same if they're connected on either end by XLR-RCA adapters to non-balanced components? -
20' headphone cables or 20' interconnects?
I seem to remember reading something to that effect several years ago. If I remember correctly, the quality of balanced IC cables is not as critical, decent microphone cable is OK. Is that true? -
20' headphone cables or 20' interconnects?
Plus, good 20' interconnects, if they're available, would be unaffordable I'd bet. Thx
