Low end. Cheap. Generic. Otherwise bang for buck cable thread!

Finally received this. Has no ear hooks which feels weird at first but I think I like it more than having the hooks. Cable itself feels nice and soft and the MMCX connectors seem good. It also came with a little felt bag thing which is a little odd but sure, whatever.

USB-C to 3.5mm adapters (DAC) - Let's find the best

I'm just wary of spending more money when my Tin T4s are perfectly fine. Plus then I'd have to try find some wireless that have a close enough signature.

USB-C to 3.5mm adapters (DAC) - Let's find the best

I thought as much since I've had that problem with headphone jacks too, but no luck.

USB-C to 3.5mm adapters (DAC) - Let's find the best

Obviously, but how do you accidentally leave the volume at max? And how would hardware buttons solve that better than just using the phone volume buttons? My hardware buttons and phone buttons both control the same volume and it remembers what the volume was. e.g. if I max my phone speaker out...

USB-C to 3.5mm adapters (DAC) - Let's find the best

I think a DAP is out of my price range and I'd rather not have another thing to stuff my pockets with. Between keys, wallet, and phone my pockets are bulging lol. I think getting something with bluetooth is going to be necessary if I want to keep listening to music on the go, unfortunately...

USB-C to 3.5mm adapters (DAC) - Let's find the best

It's not really a broken port, it's just a matter of jostling whilst walking is enough to slightly unplug it. It's one of the few things I hate about USB type C - the dimensions of ports and plugs seem to vary so sometimes you get a device and cable that are nice and snug and other times a...

USB-C to 3.5mm adapters (DAC) - Let's find the best

Seems like it'd be a pain since then you have a dangling USB cable and a dangling IEM cable. I don't think it would solve the issue since the problem is at the phone end anyway. I wonder if those magnetic cables would work.

USB-C to 3.5mm adapters (DAC) - Let's find the best

After a little bit of usage I think my insistence on hardware buttons was silly for phone usage, lol. The biggest problem, though, is walking around will constantly knock the USB slightly out of the phone's port and disconnect the device. It's super annoying.

USB-C to 3.5mm adapters (DAC) - Let's find the best

I received my Link 2 today. I'm not a super analytical listener so it sounds fine to my ears (definitely better than my phone) and the build feels solid. I agree with Ultrainferno's review regarding the bass boost but I do think it might be useful for listening in noisy environments. In my...

1 day 20 hours left on the 11/11 stuff according to the aliexpress home page. I dunno if sellers can change their price back before then though.

Link 2 bought, now to grab a cable!

Looks super cool. If Ivan eliminates the LTE interference in a future iteration of the single ended 9038 (my use case is mobile, so that's a deal breaker for me) I'll definitely pick one up.

Whoa really? Does that work for the 9038D?

Just remembered I have a Linsoul coupon. Looking at the TRN T3 but does anyone have any other recs <$50?

Leaning toward the Xduoo Link 2 rather than the Hidizs S9 for my 11/11 purchase now. I like the idea of buttons for volume and playback control. Might get a Tempotec Sonata HD Pro too just for comparison's sake and maybe gift it or sell it later, since it's so cheap.

    E1DA DACs Discussion Thread (PDV2, 9038S, 9038D, 9038X, HiFiToy, HPToy)

Looking for something for my phone, so I'm wondering how bad the interference is with the 9038D? And does the phone output calls through it or fall back to the phone speaker?

Yeah there's not a lot of info out about the S9. The other one I was looking at was the Lotoo PAW S1 but it's about $100 over my max budget.

Lotoo PAW S1 - Designed for HIFI on the go with Lotoo PAW quality and the first USB DAC-AMP with dual 3.5mm & 4.4mm output

Fair, but trying to keep my budget under $200 AUD so it seems the S1 is out of my budget for now. Looking at the Hidizs S9 at the moment. Also it turns out I misread the price of the S1 in the first place so it was already out of my budget. Oops!

Tossing up between grabbing a Sonata HD Pro or a Hidizs S9 on 11/11. The price of the Sonata is right but the S9 looks sooo sleek. Or the 9038D I guess.

Where can you buy this aside from Amazon US? They don't ship the S1 to Australia and it doesn't seem to be on Ali.

Wow that KBEAR is possibly even nicer looking than the Tin T3's. Guess I know what to get when 11/11 pops up! Thank you very much. :)

Thanks but I'm shallow and I really like how the Tin T3 cable looks with a silver/gold mix!
