Throwing my vote out there for the Audeze LCD-3s, truly the greatest musical experience I've had to date. Very interested to try the LCD-4, but I'm not sure if that will be able to beat the 3s. They are on another level.

you're not making much sense to me, what does price have to do with how an amp performs, what matters are the technical specifications of the amplifier,and how it synergizes with the headphone, price is irrelevant, and the 712 will never compete with the 800s, simply because of the imperfect...

If you want to use primarily for movies you need a good soundstage, which is found on open back, and you need earth shattering bass, which can only really be found in planar magnetics, so the choice you have listed are all good, but i'd go with an audeze lcd 2f or 3 or if money isn't an issue...
