I have a chance to pick up a pair of the audeze lcd-xc pre fazor model from 2014 local to me for $700, is that a good deal and are they worth more than that, if i were to sell them for profit or trade them for something better?

I can't say anything for sure because I haven't seen the state of the HP's..

these are the cans he will sell them locally to me for $650 and most of the posts i see are around 7-800 dollars so it looks to be a good deal but im not so sure need a second opinion

I would say that's just a so so deal. I have seen newer XC's with warranty go for as little as $750 on the for sale forum. Food for thought, if those drivers are bad or go bad, it will cost you about $550 to get them repaired.

yeah i've decided against it, I want an open back set of cans anyway like the lcd2f or 3
