My son broke my HD555's, and I figured it was time to upgrade. A friend sold me his two month old HD595's for $125. What can I expect?

Sennheiser HD555's. Loved 'em, but they recently broke (cheap plastic!). In the market for some new open cans, and have a budget of no more than $200. Any suggestions?

No warranty. I bought 'em used here on Head-Fi.

Can it be fixed? Should I send it back to Audio Technica? Take it to a local shop? Who repairs these things? This is my first pair of decent headphones, and I have no idea how to fix them. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks, David

Hello everyone, I bought a pair of used Audio Technica A500's here a while back and now the cable isn't working. I have to jostle it around all over the place to get sound to come out of both speakers. I want to have the cable replaced. What's the best way for me to go about doing that...

I can't tell you guys how much I appreciate the resource that is head-fi.org. I recently received my first ever set of audiophile in waiting headphones (Sennheiser HD555's), and I must say that listening to music in the computer age has NEVER sounded like this to me. My goodness is it fun...

I just purchased a pair of the AT A500's for $89.00 on audiocubes.com. Have heard lots of good thing about them for gaming.

How about the HD280 Pro's? I know they're only $85, but I've heard good things about them also...

I've had the Audio-Technica A500's recommended to me several times. Any thoughts on those?
