I see this when there's file issue. Take out the working micro SD and scan only the non-working one. See which folder and which song was the last scanned. Then remove that folder that it was stuck on and you'll see it continue to scan. Repeat till it finishes and try to see why those files...

That's normal. Just the amp turning on/off.

After some tests I can see that my battery issue is probably due to some battery management hardware.  Looks like when I charge it fully to 100% it's not really at 100%.  It's always around 94%.  If I have the device on while charging then it allows me to charge to 100%.  But atleast now I know...

I suspect its something in software/firmware.  I've found if I charge with a 2.1A charger, if I wait a while I can then charge again.  Its almost like the device thinks its fully charged but its only about 89% charged.  And if I top off that charge to 100% then it stays 100% even after two days...

Make sure you remove the original cover before adding the new one.  Also sometimes there's a hidden cover.  When removing old cover and adding the new one doesn't work, try removing all tags using mp3tag.  Couple times I had to remove all tags before adding the new cover.

Confirmed your findings.  I am seeing the same issue.  After powering off or auto power off, the now playing list is sorted by song name, not track number.  I rarely listen to songs in alphabetical order so everytime I power up I'll have to find the album and click on the song again to make sure...

Thanks @Paul - iBasso for your quick reply, The sorting change showed up in 1.5.2 where in 1.4.2 artist/album used to sort by English first, then other languages (Japanese, Chinese, Korean).  However, in 1.5.2 its now sorted together.  For example, if I have three album name: Handwritten, 好人...

Hi @Paul - iBasso,   I have three suggestion to make if you're looking for adding new fixes for the next update. 1. When DX80 is scanning music from the SD card, disregard the auto power off.  This is a small thing but I have to change my auto power off setting to never everytime I rescan...

@Paul - iBasso Is it possible to add a play next functionality?  Sometimes I want to listen to a song but don't want to interrupt the current song.  A "play next" functionality would be nice.  (then afterwards go back to the original list and continue to play).  Thanks,

One thing I did find is that 1.5.2 does not like empty space at the end of the album name.  1.4.2 is ok with it. I have some albums I accidentally put an extra space at the end.  (ex:  "The Best of Talking Heads ")  1.5.2 then created 3 albums with the same name except one with space and one...

Put any Japanese song in the device and look at where its sorted to.  Its sorting the Japanese song base on the English pronunciation.  Songs like 君が好き is sorted with English songs in J because the Chinese pronunciation starting with J...  But the actual first word is pronounced "kimi", so...

The album in different languages used to be sorted separately.  But now different languages are sorted together.

My null album issues are gone.  But sometimes it does take a while for the null album issue to show up. One new thing is the album name sorting order is now different, is this expected?

By lock button I meant the button on the left side of the player.  I've just took a quick look and its actually the "power button".  My bad.  Thanks,

By the way.  I've recently noticed an issue that I'm not sure if anyone else sees.  Auto power off doesn't seem to remember the correct song it was played last.     1. Set auto power off to 5 minutes. 2. Switch from Album A to Album B. 3. Pause the song on Album B and wait till the device...

That's correct.  It would be nice to have 5 seconds and 10/15 seconds screen timeout for use cases like dark bedroom or airplane.  So I don't have to press the power button after picking a new album.  I am worried that the amount of power button clicks I do everyday might break it prematurely.

May I suggest adding more backlight off options?  Currently the shortest time for backlight is 30 seconds.  I think a shorter one is needed (15 seconds or even 5 seconds)  This way I don't have to keep using the lock button everytime.  I can just wake up the device screen, find the album I want...

Confirmed the same null issue.  But I've noticed that it only happens if I factory reset first then rescan my SD card.  Also, the null files are consistently in my last folder (alphabetical order).  If I just rescan SD card (without factory reset) then I don't see the null issue. One good thing...

I can confirm that on 1.4 the album/artist/song name issue with numbers are gone.  All are correctly showing.  Overall this firmware update is good.   One thing I do notice is the album art shows much more details.  But scrolling thru album quickly I can see some album art will not load right...

I suggest not to factory reset after upgrading to 1.4.  I just upgraded to 1.4 and then factory reset after.  DX80 refused to boot up.  Keep hearing tick, tick then I see the "See You" screen. Used rescue mode and try loading 1.4 again, same problem.  Only after restoring 1.3.3, turned device...

Thanks for the quick reply.  Also thanks for making DX80.  Great DAP at this price point.  I am very happy with this purchase.  Looking forward to the DX200.

Have anyone noticed that any album or artist with number in their name seems to not show the full name.  For example, the '1+' album for Beatles, I ended up seeing no album name when I put it in my DX80.  Same with a group call 'A2A'.  I end up seeing only the letter 'A' as artist name.  Another...
